If you're patient, BN eventually shows it in slow motion from a different angle...maybe a minute or two after the KO itself. :good
Quite the opposite, in fact. I was actually doing work, while at work, while there was boxing on. :scaredas: The broadcast was supposed to start around 3pm EST; I figured with any luck there would be some substantial undercard and Golovkin and Simon wouldn't take the ring until around 4pm EST in time for my project to finish up (and with even more luck nobody would have beaten me to creating a RBR thread by then just for the sake of some ****-bag German undercard). No way in hell did it ever occur to me that the main event would have started by 3:30...and be over by ****ing 3:35!! So it's a good thing Champion started this, because I was busy until well after it was over. Not that there was all that much to report on, from the sound of it. (and everyone could see for themselves on YT starting a very short time later)
The punch looked like it was delivered in a slightly unusual manner alright. But it sure rocked Foch.
Khurtsidze is the type of fight I want Golovkin in, someone who is going to fight back and is there to win his "title". Sick of Golovkin looking good against nobodies...and being given a really hard time by Ouma...
Golovkin walks around at 161. Most JMW's are bigger than him. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBvA41GnejI[/ame]
Stopping Ouma and Lajuan back-to-back is a big statement, and it's not Golo's fault Sturm and Hassan are avoiding him. Khurtsidze would be a good fight because that little devil is tough as nails, but in a clash of two short compact punchers he's badly underpowered, he'd also get flattened.
Stopping an old Light Middleweight and a semi retired guy who has 2 wins in the last 3 years isn't particularly good in my eyes. It's great if you're a true prospect, or even a low tier guy climbing the rankings, but not if you are a "champion" (quite how the WBA sanctioned either fight is genuinely beyond me). People keep telling me that Sturm and Hassan are ducking him as if they are the ONLY 2 viable fights but thats simply not the case, the middleweight division is genuinely talent laden (something we don't tend to accept). I'm not saying all of these would say yes to Golovkin but I'm sure at least 1 would: Martinez Chavez Pirog Geale Khurtsidze M. Murray Macklin Barker Proksa Quillen Lee Rubio Ishida Bursak Heck even Spada, Belghacham, McEwan and Lyell would be better fights than Simon, Nunez and Tapia. He really needs to fight someone who WANTS to win and isn't a small man old man (Ouma) and the division is literally full of fighters who are a lot, lot more credible than Simon...who's biggest achievement was taking a weight drained Abraham the distance (wow!).
You talking about Golovkin vs Khurtsidze when you say short compact? Khurtsidze is 5'4 Golovkin 5'11 N'jikam 5'11
Stylistically both Golovkin and Khurtsidze are short compact punchers. (the hooks being short obviously)
