Knocking out Simon & Ouma = IMPRESSIVE.

The rest of his resume is throwaway fare, though.

His third best opponent is probably either Gardner or Bouadla, and there's no shame in failing to stop either, but he gave away rounds to both.

Sturm is avoiding punchers like the plague. Sooner or later some big punches are going to get through Sturm's guard, and Golovkin punches a lot harder than Castillejo. And it's not like Golovkin is gonna quit from getting hit by a couple of jabs like Zbik.

Golovkin is small for a middleweight. He has plenty of space to roid up like Martinez did. The guy is a terror now, imagine him with more muscle on his frame. Golovkin makes 160 without even trying.

Hopefully the Sturm fight comes off and EPIX shows it in the U.S.!

Dont forget the Middleweight division is very strong and Fuchigami was ranked 14 in the World before his fight with Gennady, and Simon had never been tko'd in his whole career and even went 12 rounds with the Big hitting Arthur, then Simon stepped in with Golovkin and the fight did not last 1 round.!!!

Theres a reason Golovkin can not get one of these Big names to fight him and it's called "Fear" has nothing to do with Gennady ducking anyone he will take on all comers it's just seems no one is in a hurry to fight this Beast, pretty sad really would love to see more of this Hard hitting power house.!!!!

Considering his best wins are Ouma, Simon, Bouadla, Fuchigami, and Nunez in order... I doubt that...

Resume-wise, he is leagues behind a guy like Daniel Geale.

Seriously, it is OK if you believe in his skills, but he has not been able to prove them on any kind of level which would merit him among the 50 or even 100 best fighters in the world, "P4P."

Didn't understand that comment at the time and after rewatching it i understand it less.

    Fuchigami landed jabs:

    Rd 1 : 0
    Rd 2 : 2
    Rd 3 : 2

and the 4 that i did count as landed could hardly qualify as jabs. Golovkin's head movement and parrying while stalking is very good.

Reminds me of Kostya. I rate Golovkin very highly May be he wants to do himself a favour and have a bad fight on purpose so he doesn't look that indestructible. This will give the other champions a false sense of security.
:yep. Sturm has to defend against him or he will lose his belt maybe sturm will :bolt

I don't need to rewatch it, just from memory Makoto landed more jabs than that. :nono

Of course, to clarify that we're on the same page as far as terminology here, we're talking about barely making contact - brushing Golovkin's hair and brow with the lightest jabs you can possibly throw and still call them jabs (and it's borderline) - but the fact is that it showed a snappier puncher may have been able to have more success landing crisply on Golovkin on the night. He has good head movement, but the limited sampling against Fuchigami IMO wasn't the best example of it.

pirog and golovkin are obviously being avoided. The only MW with balls these days is Lara who will take on anyone 154-160
