This is why GGG isn't moving up to 168.

At that stage of the fight and based on how the fight had gone it was hardly a controversial stoppage

If it had been a close fight then you give the guy a chance but Murray was well down and never looked like hurting golovkin

Herculean effort by Murray. He's as tough as old boots. I was perplexed by all those who were saying he was intimidated beforehand. I thought it was obvious he was really up for the fight and had tremendous self-belief judging from his body language and the things he was saying and more importantly the way he was saying them in all the pre-fight interviews.

Murray will be brain damaged for the rest of his life, because of this beating he took.

Guys, Golovkin is like a Julio Cesar Chavez ok? don't expect him to be speedy, moving in and out and flamboyant, he's a power striker who wins by the way of heavy blow... You may think all these others may beat him but can they withstand his assault for 12 rounds? Can they knock him out? He seems to have a good chin...

I think most of dudes begging for a stoppage bet their houses on Golovkin to win within the distance. They were probably ****ping themselves the prospect of Murray seeing the final bell.

    That's my theory anyway.

Thats fair comment, but Murray is was in far more trouble earlier in the fight.

I didn't have a dog in this fight. I haven't followed either man's career and I dont know much about either of them. That said, Murray was clearly outclassed, Golovkin was clearly the better fighter, and Murray's toughness has to be respected - it would have been nice if those fangasming over Golovkin had done that instead of calling for the fight to be stopped after every round but we cant have everything can we?
