I In a thread full of fair comments (thus far but SerbianLoudMouth has yet to grace it), this is the fairest yet. Benn's not going to 'decapitate him', GGG is not going to 'chew Benn up and spit him out'. They're quite evenly matched but GGG's greater resilience, well-schooled fundamentals and common sense should see him through. Benn was a bit immature as a middleweight, although he was more explosive and dynamic. That has to be factored in.
GGG is far harder to hit than Benn was at middle, look at the Eubank and Watson fights, no way could Watson have stopped GGG like that.
I think Benn improved after his loss to Eubank at 160, he said he learned to box better when he hooked up with trainer Jimmy Tibbs.
I loved Benn's career but Golovkin has too much all round for him, especially his ring IQ. I'm afraid I can see Nigel walking into every trap Golovkin sets, particularly with his punching angles. Benn would grit his teeth and try to blast his way out and, at times, it would be ridiculously exciting but I can only see an exhausted Benn being saved by a good Ref by the 8th or 9th.
Another absolute monster puncher Lemieux, but class would tell against Benn even though it’s a harder fight while it lasts
That’s how I see it. Benn didn’t really think about going 12, he’d throw his all and give everything but I expect it to be over in 8, and Benn tired getting hurt
