With all of the blah blah blah there is no reason Donaire and Rigo should not fight. I will call it as it is, Donaire does not want the fight Rigo does. Why doesn't Donaire want the fight: his fans response more blah, blah, blah. Donaire should fight Rigo or Mares or run from the division and let Rigo and Mares go at it, the only reason these 2 are calling for Donaire is he is supposed to be the best in the division. They would like the oppotunity to prove they are the best, but Donaire wont fight his toughest opposition. He fights the old guys. Another product of Bob Arum.
Funny you say that considering nonito is the natural bigger fighter in all/most of his fights.Golovkin isn't that big of a middleweight like Sergio but is willing to fight from 154lb-168lb I think he's been stepped up the opportunitys just weren't given to him while nonito is being spoon fed.
I keep reading that Donaire is some huge guy, yet he doesn't seem to struggle making weight wherever he fights. He looked almost fleshy in his last fight against Arce. A move to 126 would not be natural for him. He would need to put on solid muscle.
pure bs:rofl, donaire already proved himself more than rigo ever did, he accomplished more in 1 year in the same division where rigo is at since the start of his career. Do you expect nonito to fight every champ in that division 1 by 1? should have it been better if the other champs also fought each other during that time frame that he fought other champs like mathebula and nishioka? Nonito will move on to bigger things, and more dangerous opponents because rigo doesn't offer anything apart from hype due to a great amateur career.:deal If nonito has rigo in his record, it would be nothing more and similar to trinidad's win over david reid(another ATG in the amateurs just like rigo), wouldn't be even donaire's best win. Right now there are talks about nonito fighting chris john, as he also wanted 4 fights in 2013. Now that is a better fight imo, and moving up in weight would mean more difficult challenges than rigo's overrated ass
I didn't say he's huge but he's obviously the bigger guy most of the time that it pretty clear.I think he can make 126lb with ease 130lb even.He might struggle at 130 but that's common sense considering he'll be fighting bigger guys closer to his size.I'm not sold on donaire yet,his skill is evident Still questioning his competition & heart though. He says he wants the best but shows otherwise. You can't argue his opposition is handpicked to make him look good that's no dumb conspiracy but clear as day light.
Welcome to the year 2012; made it just in time. :hi: Seriously, though, show me the ducked fights in which he's established this pattern. Rigo? Mares? They basically just entered the discussion. Who else was there that he was supposed to fight?
his opposition only looks handpicked because he is just good, in his last fight with arce, the fight night weights were Arce - 135 lbs Donaire - 129 lbs he only has 1/2 of an inch in height and reach advantage over arce I don't understand this talks of him being bigger, he isn't exactly somebody like paul williams in welter or celestino caballero who is 5'11(very tall for a featherweight) if you want confirmation just look at the tale of the tape at his last fight with arce on HBO broadcast, where they showed statistical FACTS before the fight
That's exactly what I'm saying. His body looks pretty maxed out at 122 -almost soft- and he would have to introduce some serious weight lifting to move up. Dude is 29 years old. I think it's safe to say that he's no longer draining.
I think they hit equally hard. However, GGG throws from a very tight stance, whereas Nonito uses a lot of arm swing / leverage. The difference is, Nonito's punches are actually easier to see coming. So, if they both ever faced an amazing counterpuncher, in Floyd's league for instance, I think that Donaire would have a problem, whereas Golovkin would not. - but who the **** really knows?
GGG has shown he is the hardest puncher of all time because he is the only man to ever KO the great Proska, where as Donaire has only KO'd weak opponents such as Darchinian, montiel, Nishioka, and glass jaw Arce.
:deal I think at the moment you have to go with Donaire because his power is proven at the very highest level. One punch KO wins over hard *******s like Arce, Montiel and Darchinyan to name only 3 proves his power. Golovkin looks like he's packing some serious power, but we can't put him on Donaire's level untill he's proven it against the Middleweight elite.
I think Golovkin is a lot more naturally heavy handed. Donaire just has ridiculous timing and speed that allows him to connect with his hardest shots. He has power, so anybody is going to topple when you do that and provide them with power shots they can't see. Golovkin has more natural power and brute force though IMO.
