2 hard punchers at MW that would made an explosive slugfest. Who do you favor between GGG and Rocky?

An upset is possible here , Valdez is no slouch though I'd make GGG the favorite but not confidently.

Gennadiy Golovkin outboxes Valdes and is too defensively tight to get caught with anything big and stupid. Only the elite of the elite at 160lbs stand a chance against GGG, I can't see any of the (respectfully to Valdes who was a great fighter in his own right) B tier MWs beating Gennadiy.

Golovkin wins as long as he doesn't do anything dumb. Valdez can and will break Triple G down if he hits him with that right.

Valdez is rough and tough and hits hard. He wouldn't be scared of Golovkin's power which is both good and bad. In his fight against Monzon Valdez ate a metric ****ton of jabs. He really doesn't have the head movement, glove placement or distance control to effectively defend against it. Now I feel Monzon's jab is busier and snappier than Golovkins. But I don't think its heavier and I think if Golovkin had to fight plan to fight Valdez he'd use the Lemieux fight plan. Basically use his jab as a pole for the other guy to walk into when he attacks and as a battering ram if the other guy tries to take a breather. I think we'd see GGG take a cerebral approach to this as opposed to the Brook fightplan. Speaking of which, strictly speaking Valdez is actually smaller than Brook due to the different weigh in rules. So right now I'm assuming Golovkin and Valdez have been magicked to the same size. I'd take Golovkin myself.

If G boxes like he did vs. Lemieux, I think he can edge this.

I'd favor GGG by decision. It's a great matchup that would answer so many questions in so many ways, if only.
