Actually, Golovkin was already lined up to fight Szermeta. And so for quite a while. When Canelo suddenly came knocking, Golovkin politely told him to **** off. As Golovkin did call out Canelo after he beat Sergiy, but Canelo´s side was quiet.

So there is no need to go and make up stuff about MSG and whatnot.
