No, I don't, I don't think Canelo genuinely rocked Golovkin once, he landed massive shots, that may have stopped GGG in his tracks once or twice, but that was more GGG pausing for a second to make sure he wasn't hurt, than him actually being hurt. He walked through everything Canelo landed.

I had it 116-112 GGG, I know I gave Canelo the first, sixth, and IIRC the 11th and 12th.

The uppercuts in rounds 6 and 8 rocked Golovkin. The uppercut by Canelo in Round 7 was hard to see due to the angle (and we didn't get a replay) but it looked hard and Lampley said it was fantastic and stopped Golovkin in his tracks, it must have landed flush on Golovkin's chin, wish we had another angle of that. That's at least 2 if not 3 massive uppercuts in rounds 6-8 by Canelo that were harder than anything G appeared to have landed in the entire fight. If we're comparing who rocked who more, I don't see how you can argue against the fact that Canelo rocked him many more times.

The robbery cries were very clearly only coming from the Golovkin fanbase.

There's a highlight reel video recap that HBO ran a few days later that showed the uppercut from a good angle, it was a hell of a shot, savage in fact, but GGG just kept on chooglin' along.

One thing I observed in the 9th round was that Golovkin was breathing heavily in the final minute of the 9th round. His mouth was wide open and he was taking in lots of air. For all the talk about how Canelo was gassing in the middle rounds, if you watch the end of the 9th, Canelo's breathing is very under control, whereas Golovkin's face is all red, mouth wide open, gasping for air. Then you look at Golovkin in the corner he looks completely exhausted. Canelo really looked the fresher fighter round after round, especially in the 9th. He did lose his energy at times, and had to take breaks from punching, but as far as who was truly more tired and exhausted, it was clearly Golovkin.

Canelo's breathing was never an issue, his mouth was never wide open gasping for air like Golovkin's was in the 9th. That's one thing I noticed about the end of the 9th, Golovkin was just completely exhausted while Canelo was fine. Which makes sense really when you think about it. Golovkin is the older fighter, was getting rocked more, only went 12 rounds once in his career. Canelo was the younger more seasoned fighter more accustomed to going 12 rounds.

I'm bringing this up because all we hear about is about how gassed Canelo was in the middle rounds, when really he didn't gas out that much. I mean, he did take some breaks from punching to recover at times, which was smart, and he still had the legs to move out of harms way when he took his breaks from punching and kept his defense tight. It was brilliant work from Canelo when he did that. And it made Golovkin very tired. Canelo actually managed his fatigue better than Golovkin did. Golovkin literally was exhausted by the end of the 9th, face red, mouth wide open huffing and puffing. Canelo was still breathing normally and was able to maintain his footwork without getting tired.

Which one are you referring to I wonder. Probably the one in the 8th. (with Canelo against the ropes, ducking down low and rocking Golovkin with that uppercut bomb?) That or the massiver upper in the 6th I'm guessing.

G had a good poker face, but you could tell that hurt him. He cringed and by the next round his mouth was wide open gasping for air, probably had a lot to do with that uppercut, as it landed in the neck area, that uppercut bomb from Canelo surely affected G's breathing.

Watch the 9th round. Look at Golovkin's mouth and his breathing in the final minute of the 9th. You can't miss it, you'll see what I'm saying. Canelo wasn't breathing hard like that. G was exhausted. Must have been those massive uppercuts or that huge Canelo overhand right in the 9th.

I wasn't happy about the draw, but I don't just cry a river over scorecards because the fighter I'm rooting for didn't get the decision. I recognized that it was a close hard to score fight with many tight rounds, and though I thought Canelo won, I wasn't shocked by the draw or anything. I was mildly surprised when I heard the draw, but Jean Pascal once said to Bernard Hopkins that you don't call a close fight a robbery. That's pretty much how I felt. Canelo should have the belts, but I wasn't going to start calling it a robbery. I thought Golovkin did enough work to where you could reasonably argue he won.

It can be bad, but Bunce is in a league of his own. How he thought Degale won the fight was embarrassing against Truax. Even Frank Warren was saying Degale lost and that's his promoter
