Awesome. Hope this happens and Derevyachenko doesnt get paid to step aside.
Golovkin is racing against the clock now at the end of his career but he should still be able to pull off Vanes & SD fights and have one more by the end of this year. Hopefully, the third one will be Saunders.

Wish he had so many options to choose from 5-10 years ago but, evidently, he’s still able to beat the young and hungry.

Take Charlo out of there and I agree 100%.
Not an easy thing to do at his age and he can forget about getting any credit for that but he should still go for it.
I know I’ll loose a lot of respect towards him if he chooses to fight Canelo over Saunders again.
Having **** loads of money is great but no one will remember him for how much money he made.

Why would he take a risky fight after he has worked his way up to mandatory postion?

    Risk vs. Reward

The Canelo rematch is on the horizon still. So don't get your hopes up about a Derev fight. But also expect step aside money to be worked out and the belt to still be kept on the shoulder it currently sits.

No, I don't think Derevyanchenko will ever take step aside money. I will be genuinely shocked if he does, at least.
At the same time, I don't see this fight happening — Golovkin will rather vacate the title.

When Golovkin was doing the three fight per year schedule, he would always have the first bout in February. It isn't going to happen that way this year. It will be two fights for him like each of the last two years. Which is fine. And especially considering the Canelo rematch still sort of has to be viewed as likely up next.

I'll send you a tub of vaseline, a picture of Canelo's mom wearing Oscar's stockings and some wet wipes if he does.

Well, they say "He that lies down with dogs must rise up with fleas". It seems Golovkin has learned quite a lot from Oscar and Canelo, so he will vacate the title as Alvarez did in 2016...
