I know I will get some flack for this but I pick Golovkin to stop him between 6-8 rounds

At first I thought that was bold, but thinking back on it, GGG always did remind me of a discount Hagler.

That being said I pick Hearns by UD

I have GGG wearing him down over 8 or 9 rounds. I don't think Hearns fares well with a fit, aggressive and skilled two fisted puncher of Golovkin's calibre.

I think Golovkin is a little overrated from a skills / technical perspective...But Hearn's record against big punchers at 160 or higher is pretty patchy, and that's being kind. Being taken out by Hagler is one thing - but being flattened by Barkley? Having to hang on for dear life against Kinchen? Quite another.

I could see Hearns dominating and winning more or less every round - until that moment when he gets caught flush, and you just know that moment is going to come at some stage. If that moment comes late enough in the fight, Tommy does enough holding, spoiling and back-foot jabbing to see the final bell and win the decision. But if that moment comes before that point, Golovkin stops a tired, hurt Hearns on his feet, possibly after getting up from one knockdown beforehand.

Canelo did make GGG miss nearly 70% of his punches, and he only landed a couple of really good punches in each fight.

I wouldn't bet against the Motor City Cobra.

He doesn't have to get Caught. GGG is slow and telegraphs his punches.

Remember how Canelo reduced him to a jabber because he was not landing power punches.

Hearns isnt favored against anyone who has a ATG chin, great power and is a great finisher.

GGG survives the Hearns storm and KOs him soon after

GGG is not Hearns caliber. I think Tommy uses his jab in this fight and lands the right and stops him in 4 rounds. I don't think GGG would know what hit him. Canelo is a smaller guy and he could handle GGG.

I'm thinking Hearns comes out and goes for it...but gets tucked in for the night when tryin for the right. Hearns' chin is most definitely not GGG's caliber.

GGG never had a guy like Hearns hitting him. Canelo is a 154 pound fighter who in the second fight controlled him with the jab and backed him up. And Hearns could box. After Hagler he became more of a brawler, but before that he boxed more and used his boxing skills until he landed the right. I don't think Hearns would come out and go for it against GGG, like he did not against Hill when he got older. He didn't want the counter left.

Hearns would not box GGG that's hilarious. GGG would cut the ring off on Hearns with ease and force him to brawl and when that happens GGG can take the fire while Hearns simply cant.

It's close, but Golovkin would actually use his body shots of this fight wasn't fixed. That would start to slow down Hearns, and at some point I'm pretty sure Golovkin will hit him with something big and Hearns won't be able to handle it. I can see both on the canvas tho

With ease? You are a probably a young man who thinks guys today are great fighters. They are overrated today with more titles and less credentials, but some are good. Not as good as guys of that era.. Tommy Hearns was a sharpshooter with a jab and quick hands. Two greats beat him, but in his prime it was hard to land and he would usually land first. Hearns would land that right hand after using his jab, and Hearns punches a lot harder than Canelo. I think you are confusing those guys GGG fought with Thomas Hearns. GGG is not Hagler.

    I'd pick GGG.

Probably be a really fun one while it lasted it.
