Gennady Golovkin wants Daniel Geale unification.

Travelling to fight a dangerous opponent for less money than other fights might bring doesn't make a lot of sense to me either Josey.

 

Williams can't handle a middle weight these days Ash but would have looked upon Geale as an easier option than fight SM again to capture a title if he had stayed at the weight I don't know the buisness down under but surly he is a big enough name down there to have made it worth Geales while finically to fight him plus a name like Paul Williams on your record ain't to be sniffed at ( well better than spinks and Mundine ) .

 

I tend to agree that a fight with Lee is a good choice of opponent at this stage. There would be interest in the UK, which means more exposure and more money. Lee is also a quality ranked opponent.

In a fight or two Golovkin would be a great opponent. If Geale wants to fight Martinez, i think a victory over Golovkin or Pirog would be a great stepping stone to seeing it happen.

 

Yes CH I ain't suggesting Daniel embarks on a bum a month senario either mate but he us ideally placed to put some of the pride you Aussie lads are renoun fir back in the game after others efforts to banish it from the sport down under .like a few have suggested on here fight a few decent defences at home then a unification bout if unifies then happy days a few more defences @ home and another unification but the trouble he could have after a possible unification is being stripped as we all know these org's hate their trinkets tied to others .

 

I tend to agree Geale has heaps of Courage,but now that he has won the Big one sit back and enjoy it,he is in the drivers seat now and can more or less pick and choose they all do it and I hope Daniel has a long time at the Top,but Golovkin love him or hate him is very dangerous and I would look elsewhere at the moment if I was Daniel.!!!

 

People need to settle down a bit on here. Yes Geale is a good tidy boxer but all this talk of unification's is wrong imo. He really isn't as white hot as some think imo. I agree with what Ash has said. Fight a "name" in Cory Spinks, which he should win, in the USA and gain a bit of exposure.

 

Does that mean they fight each other to crown the Super Duper Champion:nut. Can they not just have a one champion in their divisions and not have this stupidity of having two super champions, I know these organisations are a joke but seriously.

 

The idea of Corey Spinks in the USA is worth entertaining.

The idea of too much US exposure can quickly become very hazzardous.

Honestly, I doubt Corey Spinks would build up Geale's name locally, anymore than fighting Rob Medley would. Geale will be one of the shining stars that barely raises eyebrows amongst the general sporting fans.

I hate to say it... I really hate to say it, even though the ***** does NOT deserve a shot at Geales GENUINE world title, the financial benefits of fighting Geale, or his head on any more PPV's- logic suggests that Geale will give Mandy a flogging, make a bigger name than Garth Wood, and win Australia eternally over with every future defence.

Geale needs to belt Mundine... Rob a bank.. ***** slap Prime Minister Ranga...

Any of the three listed option will quickly catapult Geale into the National spotlight. Geale needs some MORE local support. Then bring the names down under.

 

He will be fighting mundine, that is where the 7 number pay day is. that is where the
100 000 plus ppv numbers are, not this golovkin, Geale is mad if he go's there, his team should be getting mundine at all cost.

Spinks is despised in the usa and unknown here. He is irrelevant. His fights put a glass eye to sleep but ash thinks a geale fight will reach 1 mill homes.

 

i feel Geale vs Spinks would be a hard sell ppv wise anywhere. In St Louis they may draw 10k as Spinks can do that against just about anyone like Devon Alexander can. However HBO aint buying it so i dont see where any big money would be for Geale. Plus the fight prob being a borefest would not help Geale down the road.
