As most of you know, I have been out of commission for quite awhile on ESB. I was banned, and as a result I let myself slip and wasn't watching a great deal of Boxing. I was out of touch. In any event, I remember awhile back explaining how I thought Golovkin wasn't all that great of a prospect. I had seen some of his fights on Youtube and I didn't see too much in his skill set to suggest he would could develop into an outstanding champion. However, having just watched his destruction of Proksa, I'd like to take all of that back. Golovkin looked absolutely tremendous. Great combinations, fast hands, and he seems to be very heavy handed. Patient and composed, too. I'm very impressed. I have no idea how I wasn't able to sight the man's ability beforehand. Thoughts? Who beats this guy at 160lbs?
Quillin wobbles him a few times and bloodies him but Golovkin should make it to the bell to win a decision maybe even gets a late stoppage if Quillin gasses. Martinez makes him get on his knees and makes him proclaim Martinez sexiness, before putting him out of his misery with a lethal one two combination that seperates Golovkin from his senses and leaves him a quivering pile of disorganized flesh upon the canvas.
Yeah like you watching him against Proksa on HD I was very entertained and impressed. I guess alot of people would choose Martinez to beat him and why not since he is the top guy. I think GGG advantage is that he has faces and beaten opponents who moves like Martinez. Dirrel for example probably moves even better and Proksa as a southpaw moves like Martinez also. I say he will have trouble or even get beaten by Pirog because he has a unique style that I have not seen GGG face.
I think he could beat Martinez. I find it hard to see him losing to anyone who he can easily hit, and Martinez is not hard to hit despite his movement. I think Golovkin could stop Martinez. I know that's quite a bold pick but I think it's a tough styles/attributes match up for Martinez. He'd need a really good jaw to beat Golovkin and I don't think it's quite good enough. I'd favour Golovkin to do the upset, I think. I'd love to see him against any of the big names though. I'm a fan of his. He fights in the right way. By the way, nice to see you back, Addie :good
Please. He couldnt annihilate Proska who lost to a British plumber What an overrated hype job. Ouma gave him he'll and hes slower than your grandmother.
"Golovkin Couldn't annihalate Proska" You have to be Kidding he absolutely Destroyed Proska in 5 rounds end of story.!!!!
Gennady Golovkin is a monster... He's been on my radar for years. I actually had a chance to watch him spar.. The guy is a killer!
