Fedor's known as the GOAT in MMA. He floored Werdum and tried to end the fight quickly but Werdum is a world champion in Brazilian Ji Jitsu. Fedor made the mistake of trying to end the fight quick...fell into Werdum's guard whilst on floor. Werdum tried a number of submissions until he got Fedor.

Fedor's beat the best there is and the amazing thing about him is his record. To be a undefeated fighter (beaten once but no really a loss) in MMA to go on that type streak is unheard of. He fought big guys and guys his size. He can knock you out or make you tap. He's mustard but like all great fighters...they can't be at there best all the time. He would beat Werdum in a rematch imo.

fedor and lesner are in different organisations so highly doubtful. the sport isnt ufc is.

 

Well this is how it goes.

Fedor and Werdum fight in Strikeforce. Werdum can now fight Overeem the Strikeforce champion but has said that would be a backwards step and wants a rematch with Fedor which obviously Fedor would like.

Lesnar vs Fedor probably won't happen. Fedor's people wanted to co promote a show with UFC but White refused that when they had talks about him signing there and Fedor and his people refused what White offered. So he went to Strikeforce. White's the major player in MMA from what i see.

lol look at the post i made in the second page mate.my brother wears all the tapout gear etc etc so ive only a passing intrest i only watch it if theres no boxing on and because i get insomnia so might aswell watch it kinda thing but he had no clue what strikeforce was

Rob i don't get what you mean about the less skill. Obviously their boxing is nowhere near as good as an all out boxer. Anderson Silva probably has the best striking in MMA and he would get murdered in boxing. There is more than just stand up skill the ground game is probably more important than the stand up as once your there its a hard thing to get out of.

Also the biggest man will always win? based on what. Lesnar was an NCAA champion his wrestling is probably 2nd to none in the MMA heavies. If you watch the first UFC's you will see size means **** in MMA.

Sherdog is the worst MMA forum in the world. It is completely dominated by American ultimate fighting fans who can't see past the shiny lights of the UFC. They have the very american view that all sports have an elite league like the NFL, for example, and the UFC is the NFL of MMA.

This is of course not true, MMA is more like football with top fighters spread amongst several promotions and its the true fans who've followed the sport for a long time that relaise this. UFC simply has more money to throw at fancy promo videos and hyping ex-WWe meatheads.

Great forum with a lot of great members but also with its fair share of UFC "JUST BLEED" morons.
