Povetkin was ready on the 21st May and he was clean on the 21st. I don't see any excuse for Wilder as he's supposed to be a champion, not a coward. After the fight he could have got the belt back if it was proved Povetkin did anything illegal. He could have even gone into the fight with this made public, but as we all know Povetkin did not break WADA rules. Wilder exploited the situation to run away and have another burger payday.

Yeah the WBC postponed the fight officially. The WBC. Wilder can't make them do anything.

Why is that you bums from the UK still don't get it?:think He tested positive pal, that's it. If the WBC doesn't suspend POOvetkin, then he can get it next if he wants to Pal. Unfortunately FOR YOU HATERS there's too much evidence towards POOvetkin to get away with it, PAL! DEAL WITH IT!!......................PAL

Yeah, it really is as simple as that.

"WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said in a statement. "Keeping the priority of safety and also the principle of justice, the WBC will continue the investigation into the case. Consequently, the event scheduled for May 21 in Moscow is hereby officially postponed. The WBC will be releasing more information in the coming days regarding the final ruling on the matter."

Actually Marijuana has been known to reduce stress and anxiety which would be beneficial in a sporting environment. Meldonium on the other hand has not been proven to help athletic performance and was just recently banned with no provable time table on how long it takes to exit the system. Where as Marijuana has been banned since forever ago and has a window that is known to exit the body and is still a drug. So Arreola has the worse infraction and yet Wilder chose to fight him

How is testing negative a few days after testing positive "poving Povetkin did nothing illegal"?

I think Arreola would have been a decent fight for him a few years back, but now its just paltry, no getting around it.

What chaps my butt the most, is Lou DiBella dismissed David Haye because he allegedly has fought bad competition since his comeback started, but yet they pick Arreola, who has went life or death with club fighters his last few outings since Stiverne. Its just hard to defend that with any degree of objectivity.

You know because you're there right? Who knows when last time he smoked was. Maybe he smokes when he spars. All I know is Wilder vs Arreola is a SHAM. Disgraceful and Haymon been trying to make this match forever.

Lou Dibella was a good boxing man before he became an Al Haymon stooge

They were forced to after Wilder ran away. Their hand was forced by Wilder's cowardice. Sequence was Wilder ran away, fight postponed. Not fight postponed and Wilder upped sticks.

he unilaterally broke contract and ran away without agreement. Why he still has the belt is a disgrace and one the wbc might regret. They're going to look very stupid reordering the fight and allowing Wilder to keep the strap.

Sort of OK. At least it's happening soon.
