Had it for De la Hoys whilst cheering for Mosley aswell.

But the reaction to that fight was unbelievable. I mean it wasnt the most flagarant robbery of all time , not worse then the Sturm fight and not much worse then Quartey & Sweet Pea but the blow up from Hoya fans was insane, I was glad that I dont get that emotionally invested in fighters anymore.

SSM all the way. Maybe if it was an amatuer fight, DLH might have gotten the nod. But DLH couldn't even beat Shane as an amatuer anyway.

:huh The first fight was easily a clear win for Shane. I don't even think many thought DLH won the first one.

First fight clear win for Shane but the fight was competitive throughout and my favorite fight of either one of them.

    Second fight, Hoya.

That was very close fight! But I think Mosley landed cleaner and more powerful punches! So Mosley to me! (was rooting for de la hoya )

    DLH easy.
His punch stats alone were enough!

Punch stats don't decide fights. Never did, never will.

No, I agree but when they are this one sided it is clear who won the fight.

    CompuBox punchstats

Total Punches landed Mosley 127 DeLaHoya 221

Power Punches Mosley 94 DeLaHoya 115

    Jabs Mosley 33 DeLaHoya 106

 Great...who needs judges anymore. Once you realize what punchstats are, just two guys trying their best to catch everything thrown and landed while it happens live, and how flawed that can be, maybe you'll see why they shouldn't be a factor in who won. They do NOT say who landed the more effective or harder blows. They just give you an estimate on #'s. And yes, they are more an estimate then an exact #.

Again that's not what I am saying but the stats do bolster DLH's case watching the fight TELLS you won-I am no big DLH fan but he won the fight despite fading in the end.
