One of the best lightweights of his era. Knocked out Joe Old Bones Brown and beat Sandy Saddler. He was the favorite to take the title from Jimmy Carter, But Carter stopped Arajo in 13 to retain in his title, in a upset.

Araujo was bouncy and quick, maybe a bit too bouncy for his own good in a fifteen round fight, it wore him out.

Can't, it's all on my old computer which broke. I lost thousands of fights, and only have my DVD collection left. Probably why my interest in boxing has waned.

Apparently Carter beat the stuffing out of him.

Araujo is the type of fighter that could beat someone like Jose Luis Castillo, and he doesn't get so much as a yelp in historical terms, whilst someone like Castillo gets credit from quite a few posters here for being a top 20-30 lightweight all time.

I guess that's what the passage of time does to some fighters....
