Benton his highly rated....but tapes hard to find to truly evaluate Benton today.
We know what Benn can do.

Benn by decision with a knockdown by someone in the fight.

A few thoughts spring to mind here

1/ It was harder to win a world middleweight in Georges day

2/ George seemed to be a member of the 'Who Needs Him' Club
    ( High Risk - Low Reward ... Not a Box-Office Attraction )

3/ I doubt if George would of Beaten Champ **** Tiger

With Nigel Benn we know what we are getting, Hard hitting Aggression, and Nigel when cutting loose does have fast hands a lot of his Ko's and Knockdowns came out of the Blue, with his seek and destroy middleweight mentality i think he will be connecting at some stage, Whilst George would not be bring the vast array of experiance he was still to accrue over the years and employ as a trainer, he is a Talented and Durable performer who can survive in the ring, he can slow the pace down and perhaps be 'Uncooperative' to Benns desire for a Tear-up ...

Georges record has losses on it and thre that interest me are to Hank, Carter and Briscoe Hard hitting pressure merchants, i cant help thinking that if these guys can put George onto the back foot and perhaps survival mode, then Nigel should be able to Follow suit..

It must be noted that Hank, Carter and Briscoe had better chins than Nigel, so Nigel might get clipped along the way and have to pick himself off the canvas, but of course whatever granite Nigel might lack in the chin he makes up for in malevolent desire in the heart. Nigel Close but clear points decision for me
