Nice to see some Wilson Kayden on here. For those who don't know he provides amazing technique breakdowns.I don't think he posts anymore, but part of why I write my articles is his inspiration.

Leonard. Benton never beat anyone as good as Leonardand lost to a lot of guys nowhere near as good.

Well you see when you try to get a non HW matchup thread going it usually gets relatively few responses to answer those who ask why are most posts about HW

SRL's speed of hand and foot would allow him to win a narrow decision over Benton.

Expected number of responses doesn't neccessarily have to be the main consideration when starting a thread tho. There's no prizes given for biggest threads ;)

I think Ray dances and shoe shines to take enough rounds and win a decision. He doesn't do any significant damage though.

This would be a really good technical fight. Benton is one of the best defensive fighters there was in my book. He would be standing center ring with Ray working his shoulder rolling counter punching style without the holding or going to the ropes. I imagine this fight would play out similar to the Benitez fight. But like my man Red Cobra said Rays advantage in hand and foot speed beats out George's defensive mastery. SRL very close UD

I'd favor SRL narrowly by decision too. I think he's a level above George but by the same token George is the more natural middle. George wouldn't put enough consistent pressure on to tire Ray out so he could come on in the later rounds. He's a defensive genius however and Ray would be made to look average at times.

I consider the SRL comeback against Hagler a stand alone anomaly. SRL really did very little at MW. If he moves up from the Kevin Howard fight....and goes after an in-shape, active Georgie Benton, then I go with Benton in a surprise SD.

This could be an upset. I favor Ray, but its not a given
