If Chuvalo had been a contender in the 1990 s and taking on the top fighter s, do you think he gets through without being ktfo??

I'd say so,he could defeat most men, excluding motivated Bowe, focused and juiced Holyfield, and prime Lennox Lewis.

Perhaps, but he still loses some. I think he would lose to old Foreman as well.

Chulavo was a tough guy with a decent jab and good engine but he was no better than Cleroux, DeJohn, Doug Jones etc. Very overrated in a way, Bonavena, Folley, Machen, Ellis, Terrell, Hell even Cooper, Mildenberg, perhaps Peralta, Middleton were better. One lucky win v Quarry and his next best win,,,Cleroux, DeJohn? However, KOTF out is different, Tyson, Lewis would do it, Bowe by stoppage, Holy probably too, the Chisora of his time but not as good, IMO.

He might have some success but I also fear that he’d take too much punishment. Lots of big punchers in that decade and some not so crude either

Maybe top 20 or 25. Nothing special. Too much heat in that era for a plodder like him.
