george chuvalo vs. ingemar johansson

    he got lucky with patterson,either liston or marciano would have beaten him .i myself think chuvalo stands a good chance in this matchup

    Hardly. Machens glove briefly touched down and came back up, hardly Ingos fault.

    It is however one of the most incompetent showings by a Referee ever. Machen was ****ed after this.

    Regardless, Ingo' won that fight fair and square, against a class undefeated fighter who had some very good wins himself. Johansson pretty much ruined Machen.

    It touched d floor & Johanson continued , not that he should watch 4 d glove touching d canvas , but it was hard not noticing Machen going down .
    It was d referees fault as well & Machen is overrated anyway , but 1 of d best of his weak era .

    I don't know if I agree with that... Johannson fought well in that match against a peaking Patterson who for all practical purposes, was always vulnerable to punchers of that sort..

    well it didn't happen in the next 2 fights with patterson did it.the second fight they fought i watched it was my first taste of boxing

    Frazier lost the latter two fights against Ali... Didn't mean the first one was luck.
