Chuvalo was in many ways an earlier prototype of Mercer. Just a wee bit smaller. Could Chuvalo have similar success against Morrison?

Yes, I think he would overturn the apple cart for Morrison after sustaining a pretty good shellacking for 4-6 rounds.

Tommy would have to forget about a ko in this one and fight George like he did another George.

Yea he has a good chance of winning a decision if he fights smart like he did vs Foreman

He probably could, but I doubt he would. Foreman's well deserved reputation obviously impacted the way Morrison fought him. It's basically a rule when fighting Foreman...avoid engaging in going punch for punch, don't let him get set, don't stand in front of him, and get away ASAP after landing.

Chuvalo doesn't carry the same power or reputation. Morrison would be willing to engage in exchanges and would probably get carried away with teeing off. I think this would go and end similar to the Mercer fight, just it would happen later and wouldn't be as brutal of an ending. Still have Chuvalo stopping him though.

I doubt he would. He fought a Foreman that way out of fear.

I think Morrison definitely has a chance of tkoing Chuvalo. Frazier's left hook made Chuvalo feel like his eyeball was going to pop right out of its socket. Morrison's left hook can do the same.

    A50/50 match up.

If Morrison is focused and in shape, I think he'd win via stoppage in an exciting type of fight. Chuvalo really did not last that long vs Foreman or Frazier.

Morrison power is often talked about, but he's also a good athlete with very good hand speed.

Foreman also had the slowest feet in the world which made it difficult for him to cut off the ring against Morrison.

That's exactly what he should do ,and if he did ,he would win a pretty comfortable decision.
