There is something else noticeable: The difference in headsize for Chuvalo and Frazier/Bonavena.
I´ve overheard in some papers about the human head impact factors in therms of concussion that beeing next to length/thickness of the neck a very relevant factor of course is the mass of the head as well, as its beeing a physical body which is impacted by another mass.
For smaller mass objects (heads), less power is needed to accelerate them (simple school physics) and couse black outs.

Chuvalo did a lot of push ups when he was young and off of three chairs so he could go further down. He could do hundreds in a row I can’t remember how many now, but it was a huge number.

He also chewed a hole pack of huba bubba chewing gum all at once to strengthen his jaw. And head stands moving his head back and forth side to side for about and hour most days.

The "Washer Woman".....I think Ali always had a lot of respect for Chuvalo.

More functional, a better puncher, and just as strong was Oscar Bonavena...his was a more explosive strength, more suited to boxing, than the weight lifter's strength of Chuvalo.

I watched Joe Frazier's tko of George Chuvalo on tv, whoever did the announcing for that bout asked Joe to compare Chuvalo to Bonavena...Joe said "Chuvalo was better, he came to fight...and Oscar just ran away"..I laughed out loud...typical fighter's bu11sh1t even back then...I thought "sure, the guy who didn't come close to decking you, who you blew away and treated as a chew toy was better then the guy who decked you twice, never came close to going down and went the distance with you, gave you hell,...even finishing stronger than you." Most of the time I take what a fighter says with a grain of salt.

I agree with you.. Oscar was better boxer.. But it is not the debate.. Chuvalo looked more solid than oscar, and bonavena was a beast, but chuvalo was built like a prehistoric armoured fish dunkleosteus lol. It was not like tyson that was pure mass, chuvalo was thick bones like a strongman

Yes!!! And frazier and bonavena never had a small head precisely, simply.chuvalo was very very thick, he was like a bigger stronger marciano more ripped.(of course not as good but physically)

Combat what you say about brock lesnar?
He would dwarf both chuvalo and foreman, and could easily ragdoll them

That was IMO a case of leverage and style not just strength but I agree that Foreman was a powerful man with abnormal strength....Chuvalo was a powerful man but he did not use his strength in the ring in the same way his strength was manifested in punch resistance and standing his ground while being hit....where Foreman was explosive Chuvalo seemed to have the powerful slow type strength it showed in his punches slow heavy but not explosive where Foreman was fast and heavy....my theory on Chuvalo's power has always been that he was easy to get set for because of his lack of speed and fighters could slip the punches or get set to take them until they were worn out by his constant pressure and strength coming forward. In other words his trainers trained him well but should have considered a more aggressive speed focused training approach for him instead of his boxer-puncher style.

Chuvalo didn't have much in the way of skill, but he had a chin of kevlar.

Lesnar looks a big mass nothing more. I am not that impressed with him, of course a big strong guy but another more in the bunch you know.. A gym guy.. Tua looked more stocky to me and foreman more natural in strength

Lesnar

Tua

https://goo.gl/images/4qgLU7

And i doubt that anybody could "rag doll" foreman easily

Foreman
