Off the top of my head, I am going with Kilbane based on his consistency and longevity at the top. Who knows? This is one to ponder further.
I seem to remember reading Kilbane often brought his own referee.I don't know if this is true or not. How do you evaluate a champ who reigned for 11 years , had 142 fights but 77 of them were No Dec's?
This is a match-up where one definitely needs to dig deeper than the records. All who saw Dixon spoke of his greatness. I was not aware of the allegation that Kilbane used his own ref so often but he did have some great wins.
