George "Elbows" McFadden in 1899: Highest level of comp for any fighter in a one yr?

It's okay, but i just don't like books that scream out bias. One of the reasons that Burley one is my fave.

 

Erm, it's Rosenfeld i'm sure. 'The Life and Hard Times of an Uncrowned Champion' is the one i read. I remember my ex bird (*****), at the time, she couldn't get a word in edgeways with me, i would not put that book down, and if i did i'd just tell her about Charley Burley. Read it about 2 years ago. I know you've read both, i've asked you before.

I forgot all about Elbows McFadden when I saw this.

 

Looks good in the gym ,but in a fight she's a "complete bust"...b.b.

 

interesting, that era had a lot of good fighters who aren't well remembered today.

Me and McGrain breifly spoke about Elbows the other day, how do other people see McFadden doing in a modern era?
