George "Elbows" McFadden in 1899: Highest level of comp for any fighter in a one yr?

    It's okay, but i just don't like books that scream out bias. One of the reasons that Burley one is my fave.

    Erm, it's Rosenfeld i'm sure. 'The Life and Hard Times of an Uncrowned Champion' is the one i read. I remember my ex bird (*****), at the time, she couldn't get a word in edgeways with me, i would not put that book down, and if i did i'd just tell her about Charley Burley. Read it about 2 years ago. I know you've read both, i've asked you before.

    Yeah, the Rosenfeld one is pretty unbiased. Great book.

    interesting, that era had a lot of good fighters who aren't well remembered today.
