George began boxing at the age of 17 in 1966, it had a disappointing beginning he lost his debut and the bout that followed he was not detoured, but he was tested and where most would have hung them up George was different despite being outpointed three times by Clay Hodges in embarrassing affairs and with a low pedigree and under two years of experience he still made the Olympic team and in 1968 he did what a great number of elite athletes dedicate there entire youth and a majority of the best years of a lifetime pursuing with barely two years of experience George claimed a Gold Medal via knockout over soviet HW Ionas Chepulis...

Has anyone ever won a gold medal with as little experience and few bouts as George Edward Foreman?
