Could be possible that in a 15 round scenerio, Young stops an exhausted George very late in the fight.
before I could make an honest pick I'd have to know for a fact how badly Foreman's circumstances really effected him in the actual meeting of 1977. Was it true that he was ill prepared, ignoring instructions and mentally off base, or was it just an excuse? I really don't know... With all things being the same and assuming there really was no problem, then I don't see why Young couldn't have beaten the same Foreman who stopped Frazier.. If its indeed true that George had declined or was poorly prepared, then it might make for an intersting affair, assuming that he now shows up100%. In any event, i think Foreman would need a knockout or a stoppage.. Can't see him landing consistantly enough to impress the judges, unless he absolutely clobbered young and scored enough knockdowns to stack up the points. Its also doubtful that he'd blast out a peak Young early, as Jimmy was a ***** to stop when at his best.
