I don't like Ruddock, but I do think this could have been a good scrap. And although it was Ruddock's chin that really bums me out, Ruddock was actually a pretty good fighter other than that, and I think this would be one of George's most decisive victory that he would win 4 sure in the 90s.

This one would be a lot of fun & I agree with the majority here, Foreman takes a few but lands his own & does what Tyson was unable to do, keep Ruddock down.

Foreman would never ever fight Ruddock.....ever.

He fought nothing but cannon fodder to get a title shot, was used as a Heavy bag, fought nobodies again, lost against Tommy Chin and got a undeserved title shot again vs a glass chinned Light Heavy who beat him from pillar to post until he landed the lucky shot on glass....rather got stripped then facing a fighter worth a lick aka ducked a ancient coke addict Tucker.....

This board is pure entertainment for absurdity, old Foreman could not pull the trigger on palookas like Stewart/Saverese/Morrison/Schulz/Grimsley with his face turned into Hamburger but he is gonna wax one of the most dangerous and avoided fighters of the early 90's.

Foreman never fought a dangerous top ranked contender ever in his comeback, Full stop.

BUt but but Tommy Chin beat Ruddock........ a complete washed up shot version who almost pulled the trick on Tommy, something Foreman was never able to do against Morrison.

I'm not saying that Foreman beat a bunch of great fighters in his comeback. He didn't. But Ruddock is so soft-chinned and has such a tendency 2 slug it out that he would wind up on the seat of his pants taking a 10-count.

Funny, you talk about Ruddock as if he were Lewis. I'm not even sure he would beat Coetzer.........

Log off....soft chinned......you dont go two full slug fest fights with Tyson and make it to end in one of them with a soft chin.......Tyson got to Ruddock with speed something Foreman does not have.

Tyson finished Stewart/Saverese in less than ONE round combined vs Foreman who went life and death with both thru the distance with a grotesquely swollen face ....................Foreman went the distance with DDDD level Grimsley which DDDD level Jimmy Thunder axed in 15 seconds....

One more time, Foreman would never ever fight Ruddock, full stop............for reference , Foreman got embarrassed by Euro Bum Schulz...

Sonny, Ruddock was the odds fav going into the Lewis fight.....but getting the living shid beat out by Tyson has a effect on fighters.

For all this soft talk about Ruddocks chin he was never waxed by ONE shot .......

Name me ONE top ranked lights out hitting contender Foreman beat in his comeback..............dont bother, there aint one.

I am not defending Foreman. Watch every Ruddock knockdown, or even the time Weaver almost floored him. Every time u hit the guy w/ a halfway-decent shot, his body turns 2 jelly and he can't get a grip on it. In the Tyson fights he was floored numerous times by punches that were light 4 Tyson. They were not accurate, hard punches, yet Ruddock was floored 3 of the 4 supposed kd's.

Lewis is the only one who really put him away though.

It’s like saying Lyle proved that Foreman had no chin...false.

Nope. Foreman went down from great punches. Ruddock went down from crap punches. As for Lewis, agreed, Tyson and Morrison didn't really put him away.

You’re being emotional. Ali knocked him out.

No I'm not. Foreman had poor stamina, a problem only compounded by the 80-something degree heat.

Ruddock and 70s Foreman had the same issue which is that they weren’t especially hard to hit.
