alot of you like to point how how foreman's style was bad for tyson but alot of you need to remember how sloppy foreman was. tyson will have chances. but conventional wisdom says foreman finds a way to wear him down and stop tyson but foreman will get rocked and will probably get dropped. tyson-foreman will probably resemble foreman-lyle.

Ali beat George because he is ALI. He out Ali'd po' Foreman. He beat him with handspeed, footspeed, movement, and Ring Psychology. Foreman was demoralized more than beat up, although Ali did land a great final shot to put him down.

Foreman was too ****ing big for Mike. George Foreman was impossible to intimidate (50% of Mike's gameplan) Foreman was physically stronger than Mike. Foreman was a better pure boxer as well. That telephone pole jab would have kept Mike at bay, just like Buster's did. Foreman could have taken a Tyson shot, but a Foreman shot would have done to Tyson, what a Lewis shot did.

Lewis had to nail a 2002 Tyson for 8 rounds before he finally fell. You mentioning the Lewis fight regarding his chin hurts your argument.
Also, a young Foreman wasn't the giant people see him as, in fact Tyson and Foreman weighed about the same ;) He definently wasn't "too big for Mike"

Sonny, Tyson was old after 30.........his lifestyle caused tremendous damage to his body and his mind was clearly not in anymore. Just take a look at him today, he is in early forties but looks like his pushing fifties. That is not a excuse, just a fact. Foreman never abused himself like that, but they have one thing in common, both became master salesman instead of boxers when they got older.

97' Lennox Lewis would destroy both of them on the same day

Yeah and 2008 Brian Minto destroys both at the same time.

Because Tyson never was up against anyone with a height advantage, right  Plus Foreman was 6'3 and Tyson was 5'10 so its a 5 inch difference not the 7 inch disadvantage that you said.
I also just checked and Tyson actually weighed more against Berbick than George did in his title winning effort against Frazier. 70s Foreman wasn't the giant people think he is and his leaky defense(and that's being kind) combined with the fact he was slow as molasses would spell doom.

Tyson would knock Foreman out. The fight would look like the Berbick fight but even more decisive since foreman was slow as a mummy and had no boxing skills at all. I say Tyson stops him 3.

I just can't see how Tyson would win this one -- George had a underrated and devastating jab, and was the strongest Heavyweight Champion ever. He fights tall and while he had problems with faster fighters, the fast fighters he fought had completely different styles from Tyson. I just think he whups on Mike until he's KO'd. I'm not sure when, but it wouldn't have taken more than half the fight to do so.

I love ol' George though, and I'm no fan of Tyson whatsoever. That's just how I see it.

Big George by KO in a slugfest. Tyson's style is made to order for Foreman. George wouldn't have to chase him and that suits Foreman perfectly.

Speaking of Doom, watch your hero face the Buster. That is what would have happened, in this fantasy fight.

Because Douglas fought so much like Foreman right

    Big George couldn't outbox anyone.

Beat both yes, infact I think Lewis stops Foreman early-mid rounds. Lewis-Tyson would be a barnstormer but I think a late Lewis stoppage would be the outcome (close to even fight, though).
