Who would win in a battle between these two heavyweights?

The version of George Foreman that beat Michael Moorer & became world champ vs Deontay Wilder?

I like Foreman but Wilder definitely would have a legit shot against anyone. He’s a massive puncher. Not a skilled fighter but he’s better than his detractors give him credit for being. George was a super strong guy and his ring IQ is underrated. It would be a great fight for fans and would not go the distance. Voted for George and I’m not changing my vote but you can never count Wilder out.

I think it would look a lot like the first Wilder/Ortiz fight except I don't imagine it would end well for Wilder. I pick Foreman by stoppage.

I don't get the line 'Wilder has a shot against anyone because of his power.' No, he doesn't. Ali, Holmes, etc. are not being duped nor stopped by someone as basic as Deontay.

Foreman would out-jab Wilder and stop him late. I'd pick quite a few from the 90s on to beat Wilder.

Foreman had problem with high work rate fighters with good movememt as he could not keep up with you.

If he slowed the pace down though and you fell into his rhytmn then he would put your lights out.

Wilder is low output and not a good lateral mover.

Therefore, Foreman could easily push him around too by leaning on him and Wilder has no power going backwards.

I pick Foreman via late TKO once he slows Wilder down.

Also dont forget that Foreman had an excellent cross-armed defence that isnt given the credit it deserves.

No disrespect to George, because he is a legend, an ATG and probably in almost everyone's top 5 heavyweight list. I like Foreman very much and I don't really like or rate Wilder. But man, he can bang. And watch the 90's fights, especially the Moorer fight. But also against Holyfield or Briggs. These guys couldn't miss and hit George with everything they had. It was target practice. Against one of the hardest punchers ever, that Wilder clearly is, it would mean night night. You can't stand like that all night against Wilder.
As much as I like Foreman and as little as I think of Wilder, but the latter would stop George in brutal fashion.

George was as tough as they come, physically powerful, massive puncher, good ring iq, and patience.... the only thing that bothers me with the 45 year old version of George would be he was a lot slower in the second career it’s just that his power and physicality overwhelmed people. If George uses his crab defense and works Wilders body ( which he would ) I could see George winning. As for Wilder I could see him getting lucky with a clean shot but George had a helluva beard. Forced to pick I’d go with George

    Let me get this straight.....

Foreman could not stop glass chinned Stewart/Saverese...you know the guys a washed up stoned Mike Tyson waxed in ONE round combined.....needed the 11th hour hail mary against another glass chinned light heavy in Moorer while loosing every single round......could not KO cannon fodder Briggs..pretended to be a Heavybag against Holyfield.......could not KO the C level Kraut Schulz......could not stop the club fighter Grimsley who was ko'ed in his very next fight by the D level Thunder form Down under in like 15 seconds.....insteadof facing anybody with a pulse after he won the belts from Moorer he rather got himself stripped before facing anybody with a pulse.....that Foreman....lol.

Prime Foreman you can make a arguement that he stops Wilder.....old fossil Foreman not a chance, he would never face Wilder same as he never faced Bowe/Lewis.....too much size, too much power......as Dirty harry said "A man gots to know his limitations"

Wilder would be criticized for ducking old Foreman.
    Wilder would take the fight.
Wilder would be criticized for taking a fight with old Foreman.
People would still think old Foreman KOs Wilder (see poll)
Wilder would win a wide decision against Foreman with a cautious game plan that keeps Foreman on the outside eating right hands but not going down.
Wilder would be criticized for not knocking old Foreman out, despite most people thinking beforehand that old Foreman would win by KO.
