I think a prime foreman would easily run through Wilder and no one can change my mind about that, but how does the comeback version of him do? Foreman at this stage was still very dangerous if he reaches an opponents chin but would usually eat a lot of leather getting to it and I don’t think he can risk that with wilder. Wilder has nothing going for him except speed, power, and reach but these are dangerous advantages to an older opponent. I think foreman could catch him while he’s off balance but other than that I think wilder might be able to take him out.
    Who takes it?

Any version of George eats Wilder alive. 90's George was a pretty damn formidable opponent. He knew exactly what his strengths and weaknesses were at that point in his life and he certainly would be doing his homework on what Wilder would be bringing to the table. I think George would jab his head off and land a straight right hand on Wilder as he was winding up to throw one of those wide off balanced right hands.

Foreman gets blasted at least once and rocked by the right hand hard.

Wilder is toast in 8 at the most.

Old Foreman had good defense and was smart enough to avoid Wilders right hand.

Old George gets rocked hard a couple of times but then proceeds to give Wilder a one sided beating.

    Old Foreman tko 8

Interestingly, i think Wilder has a better chance vs knocking down the young Foreman who was more open to right hands. But Young George is quicker and more powerful than old George. Wilder may knock young George down aka Lyle but Young George would then end Wilders career.

I think it would be a good fight for a while. Wilder is game if nothing else and his power would certainly force Foreman to respect him.

On the other hand we saw a big tough plodder like Duhaupas give Wilder a rough time for a while and we've seen how Wilder is a sucker for the jab. Wilder also doesn't have great footwork, which means that fighters can close in on him. Old Foreman had a particularly heavy and hurtful jab and still carried his power, though ponderously. I believe that by the later rounds Wilder will have been degraded enough by Foreman's straight blows that he'll be caught with something big and stopped. Old Foreman still had a great chin and awkward defence; I'd give him a good chance of the win.

So Old man Foreman who could not catch Tommy Chin, went life and death with trail horses Stewart /Saverese/Schulz, got battered from pillar tp post from a glass chinned ex Light Heavy until he landed the lucky shot.....

Foreman will never ever go near Wilder , period....Proof ? He never went near a Golata/Bruno/Mercer/Bowe/Lewis/Bonecrusher/Tucker etc etc besides taking his beating against Holyfield.

I someone picks prime Foreman, I will not argue but old smoke and mirrors Foreman no way.

I'd pick even old George against Wilder.

Tommy had good boxing skills when he bothered to use them. Wilder does not

Tucker was a very skilled boxer. Wilder does not possess 10% of the skill Tucker did. Ditto for Lewis and Bowe. Yes, old George avoided some fighters but that is because those guys were highly skilled which Wilder is not.
