This autobiography of boxer George Foreman covers his childhood, his boxing days and his religious conversion after leaving boxing a defeated man. Events include the famous "Rumble in the Jungle" fight with Muhammad Ali, and his comback in 1994 to raise money for the Houston Youth Center.

Rated not too badly. Out of 17 reviews, 9 rated it 5 stars and 8 rated it 4 stars.

George Foreman is one of the most highly recognizable figures on the planet. God in My Corner tells not only the life story of George, but more importantly, it tells how God has been behind the scenes of every part of his life--from a boyhood marked by scrapes with the law, to Olympian gold medalist, to tow-time heavyweight champion of the world, to father of a family of ten, to ordained minister, to founder of The George Foreman Youth Community Center, to successful businessman. God has been there every step of the way, building George into a man of faith who is seen worldwide as a positive role model and man whose face is always beaming with the joy that only God can give. Now George shares those life lessons with the world.

This book is meant to be really good. Out of 20 reviewers on amazon.com, 19 rated it the full 5 stars.

Foreman is a bull shyter and his books are garbage. i read By George and put it down after a couple of chapters thinking what a load of crap. i gave it to a friend who told me he done the same and that he found Foreman to be a bull shyter.

'A Spiritual Memoir' is not at all a bad read.

Yeah, I've heard that too. Meant to be a 'dynamite' read.

Read an older version of "By George." Nothing to really write home about, especially with his never-ending obsession with Zaire.

I read "By George." It was ok, nothing special though. I wish he would have talked about his boxing career more in that book.
