So he said he didn’t want to fight Tyson. Have a cookie and pat on the head.

''Perhaps you should take a remedial English class.'' That's obviously an insult, don't even try to excuse it by saying you are just looking out for his well being, it's clear as day that it's passive aggresiveness.

    That’s an honest suggestion.

An imposed vacation should do him some good (one sincerely hopes).

On Zhang's proclaimed speediness, I do think he has relatively fast hands but I also think this is accentuated by his mid-to-short-range shot selection.

His longer and wider shots are far less impressive - and I do not see him being able to maintain any success on the outside. Likewise, I can't envision him darting in and out of Foreman's kill-zone without getting hammered.

Essentially, what I perceive to be Zhang's need to shorten the distance will line up too perfectly with Foreman's wheelhouse and spell his doom.

This "single word" is the difference between an agenda driven narrative you're trying to falsely portray and the reality of the situation.

Two posters already posted the interview. Can you direct me as to where Foreman said Tyson was "sacred and I was glad"?

That was precisely my point. That quote was falsely attributed to Foreman when it was in fact the interviewer who said it.... and as I suspected the word "sacred" was nowhere to be found.

I am “ sacred “ to post on this thread anymore. It’s a very sacred subject.

Indeed. As you suggested, the word "sacred" makes no sense within the context of the subject - and the sentence looks well out of place. What makes things more confusing is that not only is the quote erroneous but, as you point out, it has also been ascribed to the wrong party.

I just needed to get to the bottom of it. :)

Yeah Foreman is on record numerous times saying he was going after Tyson and even predicted a 2nd round knockout on Letterman.

The Kellerman interview is quite obviously a light hearted take on the situation poking fun at the fact Tyson had become infamous for biting an opponent. The funny thing is even within that interview if you keep watching it, Foreman mentions how he was good at dealing with shorter fighters and that Tyson's trainer Cus was worried about the clash of styles. That's a far cry from claiming this interview suggest he was terirfied of Tyson and never wanted to fight him.

   Which brings me to my other point. The guy lecturing me to take "remedial English class" doesn't realize Foreman being "glad" Tyson was "sacred" makes very little sense with or even without context.

Yes - Kellerman goes on to ask why Tyson was afraid of him and George, as he sometimes does, tries to juggle good-humor, flattery of others and matter-of-fact commentary.

Well I don’t know . Foreman being an ordained minister held certain things “ sacred. “ Maybe he viewed Tyson as a blessing of sorts ?

Having watched boxing very closely in those days with a particular interest in the heavyweight division I never recall foreman openly claiming he was scared ( or sacred ) of Tyson. As you guys pointed out George was actively seeking a fight with him.

Somebody needs to start a thread featuring Martin Bakole vs a post exile - pre Zaire Ali with Groucho Marx as the referee.
