Best story of sport imo. Left boxing on a sour note.....to sit on the couch for over ten years before getting the boxing gloves looked back out only to reclaim the heavyweight title of the world at 45 years old...overweight.....twenty years out of prime and still managed to pull it off.

What made it even better was that he was ridiculed for a lot of that comeback. Talk about winning against all the odds.

    Rip champ.

Said to my other half yesterday, given his legacy it’s a shame Foreman will forever be best remembered for a fight he lost. But not many people can claim to have been part of a global cultural event that’ll be remembered long past his death.

Seemed a genuine decent guy and it’s great he seemed to get out with faculties and finances in great shape given the extended career.

There is a very good documentary on Sky Documentary channel where the back story to that famous line is given. I'll not spoil it, we'll worth a watch.

He had a great life. He seemed to do just about everything. His second run at it was really strange and entertaining. He was totally different in pretty much every way and went on for a deceivingly long time that second stint.
