I must have missed the time where Foreman traveled to the 1900s and 1920s to beat Jeffries and Dempsey.

Ok so Holy is really reaching mythical status here lately.
Holy couldnt help himself wen he got tagged he brawled. If he went to brawl with a prime Foreman he gets the sh#t beat out of him.

Ill also add Liston and Holmes who both weighed in around 212 would beat Foreman in my opinion. Young did it once he wouldnt do it again. Pre Dempsey no one. Ill have to think the rest wen i have more time

Picks to beat Foreman: Ali (of course), Liston, Holmes.

Pick Foreman, but wouldn't be surprised otherwise: Louis, Holyfield, Walcott, Dempsey.

Why not? It was a clear enough win.Wasn't any doubt who won. Young definitely showed he had the right style to beat Foreman and there seem just as much chance if not more of him repeating the win against the same Foreman then Ali beating Foreman using rope a dope again.

I dont c it. George was way too effected by the heat and thought he would breeze through Young. A better conditioned Foreman who wasn't over confidante beats him.

Going by that you could apply the same reasoning to say that a better conditioned Foreman that wasn't overconfident going into the fight would beat Ali as well in a rematch so why just single out Young here? Is it because it's hard to imagine a good but below champion level and unexciting fighter like Young might possibly have 70s Monster Foreman's number?

I rate Foreman very high but only because of his comeback to rewin the true title. Head to head on any given night any top level BOXER could beat Foreman. That's Tunney, Ali, Holmes, Young etc. The best Foreman never showed the ability to beat boxers of this caliber. Further great boxer-punchers such as Louis could certainly do the job. I do agree very few fighters beat the Foreman who stepped in the ring vs Ali in 74. I'd say only Ali, Louis, Holmes and Tunney in terms of hwt champions.

Favored vs Foreman: Louis. Liston. Ali. Young. Holmes. Tyson. Bowe.

50/50: Big Cat Williams. Quarry. Lyle. Witherspoon. Pink Thomas. Tucker. Ibeabuchi.

Prime Foreman would always beat Lyle. The Foreman Lyle in actuality fought was coming off a 15 month layoff so not Prime George.

Quarry lost against all of his best opponents ....twice against Ali, twice against Frazier and once vs Norton. He is not all of a sudden beating a top talent vs Foreman.

Foreman had big limitations. A guy with fast hands who could backup could beat him easily enough. If a guy got hit by him he was knocked out. I think he was a great fighter, just not top 10 heavyweight.

Ali is made to order for Tyson? Tyson got beat up and knocked out by Buster Douglas, when Tyson can't KO Ali early his face will look like a mugging victim's by round 9, he might make it to the 11 before the ref saves his azz . Tyson couldn't beat any version of Ali up until Muhammed was 35
