RIP to a legend, boxing’s elder statesman and God fearing Christian. Honestly didn’t think this day would come for many years but he led a charmed life in any case.

RIP! My greatest boxing memory will always be the seventh round, when we were screaming so loud that people were coming of the street asking if George won!

Took a few more years, but I knew he was going to do it against Moorer, so it wasn't even that big of a deal, and that is the truth!

    POST SCRIPT:
Forgot to mention I met the man and got a book signed!

Yeah. The man always seemed to be genuine. My pops loved him. We both enjoyed his 2nd run to the heavyweight belt. This one hit me hard. Sad day in boxing.

Very saddening. Imo he was the best announcer with advanced ring intelligence inside the ring too. I LOVED hearing his commentary. I also love how hard he hit. Some of his kos are etched in my memory as the best in the sport. Rest in power champion, you will be missed. Godspeed and God bless your family.
