Bowe's another who beat loads of Top 10 Ring fighters to earn a crack at the heavyweight crown. When you can think of any give me a shout. :good

Of course, my point had more to do with your latest comments about Ring ratings. So Foreman fighting Tucker wouldn't have solved that either.

first part of his career was impressive, the latter part was impressive for a 45 year old. He was involved in some of the most memroable fights in HW history as well, definitely in the top 10 at the lower end or just outside of it.

Bowe's resume outside of Holyfield is **** poor. Probably the worst out of any top 25-30 HW actually, Golota's probably his second best win and the manner in which he won those takes away from them.

The issue is who Big George dropped his title to fight. Not fighting Tucker to set up a meaningful fight is admirable and acceptable but that's not what he did.

    Not really,

The issue as established by another poster, was that he did NOT FIGHT A MANDATORY. My problem with some of these " other posters ", is that the contender in question was not RING RANKED as the number 1 contender. It is the same poster(s) who commonly cry about ring ranked contenders not being the ones to get a shot at the brass ring, but in this case these same people have a gripe about an alpha contender not getting his fair chance. In other instances, when a champion has passed up RING contenders to fight ALPHA challengers, It is the RING runner ups, who got screwed.....

Double standard, having it both ways, etc...etc.....

Considering all that he accomplished in BOTH careers? Yes.

His comeback was even more impressive than Ali's given the amount of time off and his age.
