#34 of all time is a huge accolade, I think it's far to high...i think i may be guilty of underating him somewhat, but i still see him as one of the best ever in his class...where do you have him?
Of any weight class ever? Or just heavies? If it's just heavies I think top 10 is perfectly reasonable but someone has work to do to show me why his spot in the top 5 can be defended.
At heavyweight I have only Louis and Ali ahead of him. I like my greats to redeem themselves; and you do not get more redemption than regaining the World Championship over 20 years on from your biggest boxing demon.
George fought some great competition in his first career, and he only lost to Ali and Jimmy Young. He then redeemed his losses by becoming the oldest man to regain the Championship of the World. He was also a gold medalist and had a short but remarkable amateur career. Foreman creeps in at #5 in my all-time Heavyweight list quite often.
