That George Foreman who showed up for the rematch against a shot Joe Frazier against the Earnie shavers who lost to Ron Lyle in 76
    Foreman / Lyle in 1976
My opinion the problem is shavers won’t be able to fight backing up / and foreman would have shavers backing up with that heavy jab / I think once foremen got shavers against the ropes that would be a huge problem for shavers / it’s just a bad style … kinda like shavers is a horrible style for Norton sane for foreman style against shavers…. Foreman tko 1 rd against shavers 1976

Even in this out of sorts shape Foreman is just plain too good for Shavers.

Is he? Considerin' how mentally destroyed and with a so-so corner he got after Zaire I could see Shavers gettin' the upper-hand if this turns out into a slugfest.

Definitely, not sure Earnie had the chin to take his shots for long.

What showing of durability does Shavers have to support him surviving a slugfest with Foreman!?

Foreman runs him over early. I think this would be a very bad style matchup for Shavers.

I'd say his war vs 6'5 Roy Williams is the best showing of durability from Shavers.

I've always thought Shavers durability was excellent. His endurance led to his downfall 9 times out of 10, with the one other time being against Quarry when he took how may consecutive power punches or so?

He stood in the trenches with Lyle and took his best before tiring.

I’m unconvinced, frankly. He was never that good a fighter, even independent of the durability issue. This isn’t the best Foreman but it doesn’t have to be IMO.

Foreman; fighter of the year 1976 wins.
    1977 is the Shaers chance.
