Similar outcome for Foreman against Jimmy Young. Fury has their qualities but is also bigger and stronger than Foreman and adept at wrestling.
Ugly, long night for George. From what I have seen this would be a nightmare for Foreman. Mauling of a lifetime, hideous fight. Fury would treat him like a rag doll and have him breathing heavy very quickly.
I think Fury's destruction of Wilder is what's confusing a lot of posters. Wilder wouldn't have lasted three rounds with peak Foreman. But he was built up to some kind of bogey man, despite a very underwhelming resume, and would have been taken apart by any number of h2h greats. Without Deontay on his resume, I don't think a lot of folks would be picking him over Foreman. A viewing of his bouts with Wallin, Pianeta or even a 40 yr old Klitschko would provide better context. Now imagine switching Fury with George in these fights. Again, Deontay Wilder was no George Foreman.
I’m sure Foreman’s no defense ass would appreciate getting drilled by Deontay Wilder. Wilder was no Ron Lyle, I know.
Are you seriously telling us you'd pick Wilder over Foreman ? Wilder would be retreating from the opening bell, and even if he managed ONE serious "drill" Foreman's chin is a lot better than any Wilder ever faced. Foreman could take what Wilder gave out, but Wilder wouldn't last very long dealing with what would be coming his way. BTW, I'm still waiting for your top ten all-time p4p list. How's it coming along?
I have no idea what you’re talking about with pfp lists, but it warms my heart that you’ve been holding onto that thought while I’ve been blissfully unaware. Wilder is superior to Lyle and Foreman wasn’t good enough to avoid Wilder’s punches. Foreman was more prone to gassing out than Wilder to boot. That puts the odds near pickem at worst for Wilder who is currently underrated due the Fury fights of recent memory. I’d also pick Fury based on the Chisora and Wlad fights alone btw, and I don’t even like the guy.
Has Wilder ever failed to score a knockdown on an opponent? Don't get me wrong, I think Foreman takes this, but I think it resembles his fight with Lyle. This is one where I think old George has it easier than young George, here due to his better defense.
Have you suffered a recent stroke? Or early onset dementia ? Or just being coy ? Or disingenuous ? Of course you know what I'm talking about...you made several criticisms of my pop list a few weeks ago. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...5-10-at-p4p-lists.683445/page-8#post-21606626 At that time, I asked you (several times) to enlighten us as to your pfp list. As of yet, you have provided nothing. Well, now that you're NOT unaware, will you be providing a list ? Or will this slip your memory again ? He doesn't need to. In any toe to toe exchange, as I've patiently explained to you, Foreman can take Wilder's power but Wilder can not take Foreman's. It would be a very brief little affair. More likely, once Deontay tasted Foreman's power, he would be in retreat mode....but to no avail. George knew how to cut off the ring. After a short chase, Wilder would discover what real power felt like. Even if true, that wouldn't matter much. The fight is going to be very short. That bit is funny. Wilder is probably the most overrated HW of the past twenty years. Prior to getting his unskilled ass exposed by Fury, he had perhaps the weakest HW champ resume of the century so far. Now, about your top ten pop list ?
Wilder is simply an awfully limited fighter period. You cannot compare him to George in any way. George was far more similar to Otto Wallin both in terms of build as well as style. Except George was stronger and built Like a tank compared to the flabby Wallin and had way more nuance to his game when compared to the rudimentary tactics of snapping out a jab and moving in while punching which gave Fury all sorts of trouble.
There are some stupid posters on here but you take the biscuit.Wilder better than Foreman? It defies believe, seriously i don`t think any one who knows their boxing even considers mentioning them in the same breath
Foreman would morbidly hurt Wilder and put him in the ground. It's not even a question. Ron Lyle would also stop Wilder.
This is actually a reading comprehension issue on your part since I didn’t say that. Now apologize for the insult and let’s be done with it. It does need to be stated, however, that Wilder knew how to log double digit consecutive defenses unlike Foreman’s two(?) successful consecutive defenses.
