as a mistake, this fight was listed as being televised on a local fox sports affiliate. Obviously this fight never happened, but hypothetically, who would win? I think Byrd would get KTFO by Big George. But George lost to Jimmy Young, so who knows.
George lost to Jimmy Young after getting a head ****ing from Ali. Foreman, old OR young, will deal with Byrd the same way Ike did.
Byrd would have the ability to slip Big Georges wilder swings and occasionally make him look clumsy, but I can't see this ending any other way than a brutal, highlight-reel knockout in favour of Foreman.
I can't see Byrd beating the Foreman that fought Holyfield and beat Moorer. Not even the one that got jobbed v. Shannon Briggs. YOUNG Foreman, there's no question what happens. He just bum rushes Byrd and gets rid of him, not even a tune-up level fight imho. Byrd survived for a while v. Ike because Ike boxed him a little. Young George (pre Ali) would just crowd him and maul him brutally, I don't think Byrd's legs could keep him out of trouble for very long in that fight.
Old Foreman was outpointed by Tommy Morrison. Gee no way Byrd can match the slick skills and granite chin of a legend like that. You guys are ****ing idiots.
Tommy Morrison was a very hard puncher who threw in excellent, fluid combinations. He was a hell of a fighter. In his day, Tommy would probably be a 3-1 favorite over the best version of Byrd. What the **** do you have against Tommy Morrison?
nicely put. Foreman from the Holyfield and Briggs fight I'd pick, however i don't know about the Moorer fight. George really didn't seem up for it that night, and would certainly be the only versions of Foreman I'd pick him against.
Morrison was a glass-jawed slugger doing a fifth-rate impression of a slickster in that fight, and even that was enough to outpoint Old Foreman. ****, who was the best fighter to ever try to outslick Old Foreman and fail? Lou Savarese? Axel Schulz if you like robberies? The only reason Moorer lost is because he foolishly decided to slug round after round while Teddy Atlas screamed that he was being set up.
You need to spend a little time on youtube homie. Morrison had fast hands, power with any punch, very fluid and coordinated with both his hands and his feet and a damn near ATG left hook. 42 knockouts in 48 fights. Morrison was no walkover for anyone, let alone someone with no power to keep him honest.
I can't believe you people are picking forman! it would be stylistic nightmare for for an, no way he touches Chris with that wild ****. Not to mention Chris is the same size as ali
"Morrison's combined professional and amateur record is 343241, with 315 wins by knockout." Gosh, how could anyone EVER get outboxed by a total NOOB like Morrison? I swear, 95% of you ****ers are total ****ing ******s who know absolutely nothing about baxing.
