Byrd totally clowns any version of comeback Foreman. People underrate Byrd's defensive skills massively.
Yeah gee, Chris Byrd could never match the elite slickness of Tommy Morrison because his combined professional and amateur record is blah blah blah. What a ****** you are.
Old ass, slow as syrup Foreman would never land a flush hit on the slickster Byrd Vitali couldn't do it, so why would someone vastly inferior like old Foreman be able to do it? Byrd UD12
Would anyone who picked Old Foreman like to explain how this human dynamo, capable of tracking down and smashing a guy of Byrd's slickness, managed to be outboxed by Morrison?
Because Morrison was a darn good boxer? Almost seems like your putting down George because Morrison beat him. Morrison had good head movement, good power and knew the ring really well.
I stick to the pro's buddy, But Morrison's style isn't suited to boxing, its suited to bulldozing in and Hooking your ass. Not staying behind a jab all night, and he did it. Nobody is saying Morrison is a "noob", learn to read.
So you're telling me that Chris Byrd is less slick than Tommy Morrison. That's what you're trying to tell me.
Yeah the mentally unstable post Zaire Foreman lost to young. The Foreman from the Ali fight or the comeback stops Byrd but has some trouble.
And I would like to talk about the Morrison fight. George was 45 ****ing years old in that fight and Tommy in his prime fought arguably his best fight. Morrison ran for the majority of it and even turned his back a few times. But guess what,Tommmy with his sick left hook couldn't even hurt the OG,George Foreman. The fight wasnt even one sided. Tommy knew George was there. It was a pretty decent fight. And ****,I just watched round 10 of Tommy vs George and GF stunned the **** with a slap! The guy was stunned by a slap! That was Tommy's best and luckiest fight! Proof:Tommy gets stunned with a slap and hits and runs and gets booed but wins a safe decision over a 45 year old he was scared of. Also note,Foreman's glove needed to be re taped after he stunned Tommy in round 12. Damn Morrison was lucky that night! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6na0E5zexo4&feature=relmfu[/ame]
He was damned correct to be afraid of George, any fighter with a brain would be. George could take monstrous shots and keep coming, but there aren't many people (if any) who could take flush shots from George. Byrd was a good boxer, yes, but he had nothing to keep George off of him. The only question is whether old George has the legs to chase him down, and based off of several of his fights I would say he does. At the very least he gets Byrd running so much that he can't win a decision. If you're one of the guys who thinks Morrison can't fight, then you don't know Morrison. Dude had excellent technical skills, great power, good movement and an ATG left hook. Byrd would never be able to handle Morrison, he only gets beat in his prime by big punchers or boxers a few steps above Byrd.
It's a styles thing. Just because Morrison wasn't slicker doesn't mean anything. Boxing doesn't work by pyramid formula.
