Prime for prime, i've always liked this one with Ibeabuchi's work rate and not to mention he was almost literally a brick wall i find it hard to imagine George beating him but Ike most probably would stand right in front of George and may get koed, your opinions ?
It's hard to pick against Prime Foreman since only Ali beat the confident man killer version. But It's hard to pick against Ike too because he was pretty good and never lost. The Tua fight is still save din the DVR. Tough one. Tua stunned The President once as best I can remember, with a left-hook. After that, Ike's right glove never moved from his ear except when he was throwing it. I'd have to go with Foreman by decision in a war. Both guys rocked and both would maybe even hit the deck at least once. Yeah Foreman UD Ike
Thing is.. George would probably stand right in front of Ike :think I think 2nd career George took shots better than young George. I think prime Foreman tries to slug with Ike, and gets rocked like in the Lyle fight. Only this time, he would be up against a better finisher. Ike tko by 6.
Don't ya know Big George Furman was 7'2, 350 pounds of pure power? It's just that Dick Sadler drained him down to 6'3, 220. Big George was force of nature, I tell ya. He knocks out this Ike fella with a glancing blow.
If George would KO Ike it would be early, his record has a very unimpressive KO% after the 4th round. And Ike had a very good engine that didn't run out after 4 rounds but lasted the whole 12.
It's hard to say which version of Foreman is "prime". Comeback Foreman was more skilled (he paced himself and had some semblance of defense) and young Foreman was more ruthless. Either way, I'm torn on this match. Ike has the edge in workrate and speed and George has the edge in power and physical attributes. This match could go either way. I can't pick a winner.
Ike is the single most overrated fighter of all time, and the responses here are a PRIME example of that. He didn't even beat Tua. How some ppl pick him over Foreman, and Tyson is beyond me. 73-74 Foreman brutally ****s Ike up and stops him.
Because Ike had stamina and a very great chin. He is also a better puncher than Ali. If he can survive the first 4 rounds against foreman he has the absolute advantage and I don't see foreman knocking him out early.
