Johnson of 1908 to 1912 probably schools a huge, powerful, but flawed 1973 Foreman over 15 rds of tactical boxing...... Foreman only has a wild punchers chance... Johnson see's all Foreman is gonna throw before it even comes......

Foreman would **** him up....Johnson was not stronger and wouldn´t be able to outmuscle Big George like he liked to do with smaller guys. Foreman by TKO.

You sure? Johnson was enormously strong. Taken in tandem with issues regarding balance, experience inside, I name Johnson functionally the stronger man.

Johnson would try to tie up, then Foreman would do his patented "shove the opponent the **** back" maneuver and batter the hell out of him.

Foreman would likely devastate Johnson within the first 3 or 4 rounds. Too strong, too hard of a puncher, and knows how to land too well.

If Foreman wasn't hitting Johnson with his huge uppercuts and hooks, he'd be rocking him with his jab.

Johnson's style of parrying and punching while holding would do him no good against the much stronger Foreman.

Head to head against other heavyweight greats, Johnson doesn't fare too well, in my opinion.

If we have to ask who would win as the first key question of the thread, then that probably answers the second.

    Very true Janitor lol.

How do you see this fight going?

I have mixed views myself.. On one hand i can seen foreman just overwhelming Johnson with his combos and agression. On the other hand... I see Johnson seeing everything big george throws and easily dodging and countering with shots of his own. IMO it's safe to say.. Johnson wouldn't be pulling any punches in this fight

Jack would do well but George would start to manhandle him by the 3rd and pummle him into a Bolivian

I am minded to favour Johnson based on Foremans results against boxers generaly.

    No money going down though!

Johnson would definitely view Foreman as the type of fighter who was tailor made for him.

    Johnson stronger than Foreman.

Not even functionally stronger than Ali.

It depends how many rounds but Foreman likely does enough damage to win on points if he can't get the stoppage.

That is the one scenario that can fairly safely be ruled out.

No, only because Johnson had a tendency to go negative. Assuming the fight is 10 or 12 rounder at most.
