No, some people have a difference of opinion and present a very good case.

I do think Tyson would come out like a whirlwind, but I feel he would be kept at mid range by Foreman's jab and (underrated) palming/catching of his opponents punches.

However, I also see Tyson being able to counter Foreman by using his superior head movement to slip and then let fly with a hook of his own.

Foreman was always sturdy and had good punch resistance. He was even sturdier as a middle-aged man, but I do think that Tyson could hurt Foreman and possibly drop him, by landing with a left hook and then getting on the inside and letting go with a combination (possibly ended with the right hand)

I feel Foreman was better at swinging from mid-range at an opponent as they came in rather than genuine 'inside' fighting. Tyson liked to leap in from mid-range and then batter his opponents with uppercuts and short right hand on the inside.

The question is does Tyson get caught coming in or does his high guard, fast head movement and ability to rush effectively mean he gets to Foreman first.

I often claim George as underrated but I do feel that Tyson's speed gives him the win in a titantic battle (whilst it lasts)

    Kid Dynamite stoppage 4.

Mike Tyson could never beat the old fat slow bald Foreman which is why he ducked him. The young Foreman would have won against Tyson before the fight even started

Tyson was perfect for Foreman. Big George by KO/TKO.

Gotta go with George. Even the comebacking Foreman was licking his chops at the prospect of a Tyson bout while Tyson, if the reports were true, wanted no part of Foreman. I think George would have the psychological edge in that he wouldn't be afraid of Mike while the reverse probably wouldn't be true. Mike liked his opponent to be beaten mentally before the bell rang. This wouldn't be the case with Foreman. It would be bombs away for a few rounds but I see George taking it in 3-5 rounds.

A prime Tyson is not a shot Frazier. There are 2 ways of looking at this fight, take a look at the Lyle fight Foreman was hurt and dropped several times in this fight. George showed he could be hurt and the ref could have stopped the fight at any time either way. George showed heart and the ability to get off the floor to win. Compare Tyson with Lyle, Mike was not as ponderous and he hit a lot harder than Lyle. If he had Foreman hurt he could finish him. Tyson may have had a slight edge in stamina and Foreman had it over Mike in coming back from defeat. That said I lean towards Tyson to end matters before 5 but I would not bet heavy either way. How could you with those kind of weapons.

style wise, this fight favors foreman but tyson presents big problems for foreman. first tyson is faster and has better punching technique. and when he was at his best with rooney, he sgowed good defense. tyson also possesed a very good chin as well. most likely foreman gets dropped a few times like lyle and gets up to win late.

I think Foreman would be too big and too strong for Tyson. I believe Foreman would destroy Tyson, Frazier like.

Tyson is the exception to the 'Foreman destroys swarmers' logic.

It's extremely close. The poll for Mijares versus Darchinyian was far, far wider than this in favour of Mijares.

Tyson would kill any version of Foreman. Tyson would beat him like a drum, and Foreman would never be able to land his slow clubbing shots cleanly. Tyson by vicious beatdown or stoppage easy. Think back to Georges fights with Crawford Grimsley and Tommy Morriosn and Axel Shultz, its amazing to think that George would have had a chance against Tyson in the mid 90's. Forget prime for prime George was never fast enough to keep up with Tyson.

How does Tyson's defence compare with that of Fraizer in terms of style?
