Eh? You make him sound like Frazier or something. He's plenty willing to hang back and box against aggressive, come forward guys, as he showed against Kalenga. This content is protected
Eh? Kalenga vs Dorticos was a phone booth battle of attrition. Neither took a step back except to take a breather, reset then trade some more
It's not even the head movement for me, it's the movement. He is front heavy, lacks balance on the back foot, and is extremely stationary for the world class talent he's up against.
after a foreman uppercut to gassiev's chin, a new satellite would be picked up on radar orbiting our planet.
despite being shut out in his last fight vs Uysk I really think a lot of Murat Gassiev but George Foreman may be a tough first heavyweight fight. I think Murat could do well moving up and could beat many of the less skilled bigger men, however if Uysk moves up may not be in Murats best interest. If Murat moves up my prediction is that he has the talent to be a force but time will tell and then ask me that question again.
Louis had to train down to 199 to 206. Louis would've never been a light heavyweight. This. Here is Dorticos also going the distance with Edison Miranda, who was shot at the time. This content is protected Dorticos is an example of what happens when a fighter is fed one too many soft touches. Miranda completely exposed Dortico's lack of power and chin. When Gassiev took 12 rounds to end Dorticos I knew Usyk was going to easily toy with Gassiev.
I agree, though so far that's only really been an issue against Usyk, who's as far from Foreman as you can get. For me, the main issue he needs to work on is his jab. That would open up more scoring opportunities for him and prevent fighters pushing him back to the ropes. Foreman was front heavy as well, but his heavy jab meant he didn't need to move around more than he had to.
It's always a mistake to compare an unlimited weight class to a limited one, since you never know how much the lower weight fighter might rehydrate to. Hunter, for instance, recently fought at 218 at HW without looking noticeably bigger than he did at CW. Louis was ready to fight at 201. It's not a given that the other fighters you mentioned were. While LHW is a bit of a stretch, there's no controversy to think that he would have fought quite comfortably at CW.
Isaac Chilemba toyed with Bellew and was robbed of a victory the first time. Does that mean Usyk easily beats Bellew at CW? Logically, you'd have to admit that.
No, he's a CW. GGG might be a LHW on the night, however, which would put him in Conn territory. Really no idea how much he rehydrates.
