I did read your post guy. Who cares about Tommy Morrison. Why bring him up unless you're comparing his resume to Foreman's, which isn't the wisest thing to do since Mercer blasted him out in 5. If you're comparing common opponents it's not helping your cause. Bowe and Seldon? At least Bowe earned his title shot instead of getting one based off his name.
I agree with you that Foreman was very tough, durable, and motivated. He went the distance with Holyfield and took a lot of punishment along the way. That's plain to see. But you keep bringing up his valiant effort against Holyfield and his KO win over Moorer as proof that Foreman's comeback was legitimate and that his level of opposition was not dismal and was in fact as good as other contenders around. Foreman avoided all the live bodies before facing Holyfield; he then gets a title shot (due to his popularity) and puts up a brave effort but loses badly in the process, and then he goes back to selecting inferior opposition. That was the whole pattern with Big George: Title match or mismatch. No good opposition unless it was for a title! Great businessman and salesman though; I give him that.
Ok. I'll compromise and we'll meet in the middle. The man could have taken on at least one of the more solid contenders before challenging Holyfield like a Witherspoon or Mason.
