It's not a tirade at all ... just making an observation based on a like , kind match up ...

I completely agree no fighter is infallible .. this is why studying styles and match ups is key .. this is why I just don't see any slugger weighing in the 180's goinfg toe to toe and surviving long against a 1973 Foreman .. by the same token Ali beats Foreman and Dempsey and Marciano have far more competitive fights against Ali ..

  2. yes, man, really i am boring to answer on this thread, with all respect, this thread is absurd, marciano would have absolutely no chance to go more than 2-3 rounds against foreman.marciano was slow, marciano was short, marciano was small, warciano weighed 185 pounds,in few words the style of rocky agaisnt foreman =garbage, foreman was stronger, foreman was bigger, foreman was harder puncher, foreman would handle marciano like a kid, foreman might take the shots from rocky, rocky might not even catch foreman with a clean shot in the face because george would push back rocky. and yes, i think that a prime ali would beat a prime foreman 9/10 times. but foreman kill any puncher who exchange blows with him. marciano would give the hell to any boxer, and the boxers with stamina and good chin would give the hell to foreman. STYLES MAKE FIGHTS

    Ali TKO VItali 6

    :deal

   '

Actually excellent observation on Foreman. Chuvalo fight is also an intresting angle that doesn't get examined enough, that left hook to the body was hurting big George and freezing him up.

  4. foreman was not even in his prime against chuvalo he was green like the hell, he was very light in this fight and chuvalo had great experience in 1970, and foreman destroyed him, simple.it is even funny, lol the haters are trying to find faults of george in fights where he destroyed his rivals, lmao. to give any chance to rocky

and chuvalo was a solid like a rock 215 pounder, rocky was a mini rock of 185 pounds, and chuvalo had by far better chin than marciano, it for sure. great difference

Foreman was no better no worse than he was against Frazier - he was the same fighter by the time he fought Frazier and all the same mistakes were being made and same result his power got him out of jail - do you think if any fighter with exactly the same tools and style and approach MINUS THE POWER could've won either the Chuvalo fight or the Frazier fight? I don't for one minute - ps I think your choice words on slot of things might be throwing peole - example you said Foreman "destroyed" Chuvalo? I don't think he destroyed Chuvalo at all?? That was my point Chuvalo was the better fighter in there (as were most against Foreman) it was just Foreman that get out clause - he could bludgeon away if someone let and the referee stopped it - Chuvalo didn't look too pleased about the ref pulling him out before he'd had chance to fight back - you completely miss my point and get me wrong if you think I'm just being a 'hater' - not a hater - just being realist - if the likes of Chuvalo can make FOreman look pretty limited and amateurish really then there's no way Foreman is just suddenly going to be able to come in and blast the great Rocky Marciano to smithereens in a couple of rounds?

  6. what an ignorant... foreman was 24 when he faced frazier, he was green even in 1973, in 1970 he had no experience and he DESTROYED chuvalo who had the best chin in the history of the hw.
:lol: really to talk with you = spend my time.

rocky marciano was one of the most limited hw champ of all time, simple. he was small and slow, no deffence,no skill, short, he was not even a hw, his move of head was slow like the hel, he finished every fight with the face like ****. MARCIANO WAS = GREAT HEART,STAMINA AND SOME HITTING POWER , END OF THE HISTORY what **** are you talking?:roflLIMITED OR NOT, FOREMAN WOULD KILL YOUR HERO AND LATER HE WOULD **** ON HIS FACE. SIMPLE. YOU SHOULD ACCEPT IT, YOU WILL LIVE BETTER WITH YOURSELF

Marciano dances on his toes for a few rounds while foreman slugs away at air, tiring him out, before a jabbing retreating marciano knocks a tired foreman out late.

  8. yes, this testament has so much credibility like rocky ask for a wish and a beam kills to foreman.

LOL jeez come on combat don't throw your dummy totally out of the pram - you're making yourself sound like some kind of deranged psycho!!???? Come on man back up a little - just try and remember these guys are real people we're talking about here (and in Rock's case a deceased person) with families and dear friends who might be Reading these sorts of things??? I noticed on a burt thread earlier our friend hascup gave you a very gentlemanly bit of advice which you said you were hoping to start following - maybe try and make that the last bit of offensive juvenile stuff you do on here - seriously it could really upset some people - even if you never meant to or thought it would never reach the eyes and ears of family and friends of the man - peace

  10. it is the only truth that you said. but the facts is that you do not help to the memory of marciano talking nonsense and lies about other fighters, the facts are that you know nothing about george foreman , and you did show that your Knowledge is very poor.

I was really only drawing on visual fact with reference to big George - not talking nonsense or lies - simply stating facts such as gregorio peralta had no trouble at all going the distance with George and not only that gave him some pretty uncomfortable moments throughout? I in no way tried to denigrate the man or use offensive stuff (I have no reason whatsoever to do that) - i'd try to refrain from saying the sort of things you were, about a living person, let alone a deceased person - I try to stick to drawing on visual fact ie what happened in the fights rather than turning it into an offensive and personal tirade of hate and belittlement - give it a try - there's no point in having so much venom stored up for someone you never even knew personally and who probably passed away even before you were born - unless of course you were directing at someone like hitler or something

  12. i do not want to continue talking nonsense about this topic, my opinion is very clear, you have your opinion, fine, get a nice day.

:good good observation but you will not be given credit by the haters who overlook George's Large flaws and the fact that he was KO'd and dropped by pin-point punchers who did not pack the power of a Walcott or Moore and only George made Lyle look like a beast, that should tell them something but it may be years before they learn something about the sport.

Size excluded Marciano had Jumbo power and an odd assortment of Rhythm breaking and untimely punches ( freakish and he displayed against some experienced professionals ...to undermine him as some do here or to think he would be non-combatant is simply ignorance or pure Bias or both

Like I said before...don't compare the shopworn Frazier of the 1st Foreman fight in 1973...Joe left everything he had in the ring after the FOTC in 1971...with a prime Marciano...
