You always see Nunn Kalambay on those highlight reels too. Doesn't mean Nunn was a big puncher. Walcott had respectable pop sure, but a huge banger? Light-heavies went the distance with him. He couldn't budge Charles in the other 50 rounds they fought.

Light heavyweight harold Johnson didn't go the distance with him and a lot of heavyweights could not knock him out. Punchers like valdes, machen, Clarence Henry among others could not knock Johnson out yet Walcott wiped the floor with him. When Jersey Joe knocked out Charles I don't think Charles could have been any more "knocked out" from a single blow if Foreman hit him. Walcott iced some big guys like Elmer Ray and Curtis Shepard, shkor. To any observer, knocking out Charles, decking Joe Louis, Marciano and beating up Tandburg Walcott comes across as a good banger on film. A 45% KO ratio in a career fought at mostly top level is a top puncher in most books.

Light heavyweight Harold Johnson went down in the 3rd rd without being hit:patsch

"It was give and take in the early moments of the third round when Johnson stopped short and sank to the canvas. His face was a mask of pain as he rolled over and over. Referee Dave Beloff waved Walcott to a neutral corner and counted out the stricken Johnson.
Dr. Joseph I. Levy, physician for the commission, had Johnson removed from the ring on a stretcher. Dr. Levy examined Johnson and announced that a preliminary examination disclosed an injury to the intervertebral disc located in the small of the back" Walcott had 17lbs on Johnson.
    Machen a puncher?:nono
Shepard a big heavyweight? He was 5'11" best weight in the middle 180's he scaled 191 for Walcott in his previous fight he was 185 and in his next 183 this suggests he was not in top shape,[ it was a body shot that stopped him ,]but he had Walcott down before the stoppage.
In their first fight the 181lbs Sheppard went the distance without being floored.
Ray was 2-6-3 when Walcott stopped him ,a novice, in two subsequent fights he went the distance without being floored.

Sad to see an old man act like you do on these boards. I hope I never go this senile.

Johnson was dropped awkwardly in the second, causing the injury.

Johnson, who won the first round, was knocked down in the second round for a count of three

Walcott said he believed Johnson twisted his back when he was knocked down in the second round.

Walcott certainly had sneaky power. He didn't aggressively look for the knockouts but rather stunned fighters with well timed single shots.

The KO of Charles is horrific and he dropped Marciano with the same left uppercut/hook.

He reportedly KOed Curtis Sheppard with one body punch.

He officially KOed JOhnson after dropping him awkwardly.

He scored a one punch first round KO over tough journeyman Johnny Shkor

He gave European contender Olle Tandberg the only knockout loss of his career, dropping him 4 times.

He dropped Joe Louis 3 times. And reportedly beat Murray into a defensive shell that resulted in his DQ for refusing to fight.

Pick at these achievements as you will, but the evidence is there, he's scored single punch KOs and knockdowns with both hands, he had a punch. I don't doubt he could probably drop and hurt just about any HW with the right punch. Timing is everything, and Walcott was a master at setting traps and working weird angles.

NONE of these guys are great heavyweights, which Foreman was. Please try and understand what I am writing, just read it and think about it. The above, there was no need for you to write it - there was absolutely no need for you to write any of that, or me any of this.

Fraziner and Marciano fight IN THE SAME STYLE.

    Jesus Christ.

Foreman was a puncher, a brawler. Marciano was a swarmer. Take away the names.

    Puncher v Swarmer.

That is the single biggest style advantage that there is in boxing. Please try to take that in.

And for the third time, what is your description of Frazier as having "reduced punch resistance" based upon?

Why?!? Foreman weights more, appears to be stronger on film, was very adept at pushing and handling his opponents, so what is this based upon?

Because you flip flop so hard based upon how hard you are pressed, it has again become difficult for me to understand your position.

Are you now saying, once again, that you think Marciano would be favoured to beat Foreman?

This is the best way to describe him. He probably could have set anyone down on his ass, anyone at all. But choklab's characterisation of him is obviously just more biased, twisted bs.

A good accurate puncher , but not a huge banger.:good Mongol will side with him but that just strengthens the opposite position.
