Strange as the match might sound at first, I think Tubb's has a great chance here.

Foreman in his prime wasn't known for incredible stamina, and we've caught glimpses of fighters trying to blow Tubbs out of there.

His fight against Butler was a thrown fight. Tubb's later admitted to cocaine coming first in his life at that time, and the money to buy it with.

Bowe tried starting fast and blowing a 33 year old Tubb's out in one. No good.

Tyson did manage to get Tubb's out there in two, but almost no one could put them away like a prime Tyson.

So how does Tubbs do here?

Tubbs wins round one on two judges scorecard then gets knocked the freak out in round two.

Because Tyson KO'd him in two?

Why do people do that? It's like Robinson vs Hagler matchups, they say "Robinson SD Hagler" yet it's just so coincidental that Leonard got a SD.

Tubbs was a very slick, well schooled boxer with very deceptive hand speed. Unfortunately Tubbs went into many fights in less than spartan condition and had a very flabby midsection. Young George or old George would just stalk him down a few rounds, and after slowing Tubbs down with some hard body shots, would get a TKO in round 7 or 8. Tubbs would probably have his moments where he scores points with some slick boxing, but none of that would bother George too much, because George has a granite chin, and Tubbs couldnt hurt George.

Tubbs was elusive from the waist up but was hardly a twinkletoes in there. He needs foot movement and angles to stay away from a Foreman who is just going to throw those wrecking balls until he connects. George might miss the first 3 or 5, but he'll continue to throw those powershots & shove Tubbs where he wants him. I also don't like that Tubbs habit of ducking down under punches especially against a guy with devastating uppercuts with both hands. And Tubbs is never going to punch a Foreman off of him & that's the other big trouble. ko3.

Tubbs makes him look silly, but eventually gets caught most likely and put away.

    Foreman KO 6.

You know I remember reading an article on Tubbs in some googled news story not too far back saying that he was going to have an exhibition bout with an old friend of his or some damn thing. Anybody else hear this? Did it ever pan out?
