Also many of the yanks who ruled the HW div should also admit they would never have had complete domination had eastern europe been able to compete from ww2 and from before. The bums of the month fights were needed by both louis and ali to make up in between the top fights for the lack of talent about. Crazy to think in side what ? 10 yrs the east euros dominate the HW scene and all we hear from america is the div sucks and they dont care about it haha, yeah right, course you dont care. You just dont like the competition which your not ****ing used to simple as that, and hence the silly excuses

70s fights are memorable because of hype, not talent.

Could Wlad stabd his ground in the golden age of american HW(actually, mostly CW) boxing?

Definitely. he is too big too powerfull. He could outmuscle anyone in the 60s 70s

Wlad would KO his opponents sooner if they would come forward, or at least stand their ground, not running like scaired bitches.

The last time Big George was this confident, he got KOd by a feather fisted CW

I would not bother mate, according to most on here, any heavy from then would beat a guy as huge and powerful and with such a good defence now as wlad. :patsch, ****s sake i love that era, loved the guys from then, but some of them guys would not beat wlad, some of the old fights in youtube dont look near as good as some would have you believe

Face the music, Wladimir will most likely have 20 plus defenses, 70 plus wins, 60 plus knock outs, he already won a Gold Medal and 5 belts now. And if something clicks in Wlad and he starts operating at 90-100% ...God be with the heavyweights. And it's very possible that can still happen :hey He will eventually get tired of hearing the criticism about being too systematic, cautious etc.

Face the music, the man in your aviator didn't reign in an era that was exactly stellar but he was no doubt great right? Neither did Louis. Larry Holmes defenses weren't all against world beaters to say the least right? Exactly

Yea and Haye/Ibragimov and Chambers really gave him the chance to look spectacular. They really brought the heat running around the ring just trying to survive. Did Frazier and some of those other guys run? No.. so they would have been coming right into the danger zone. Also the way everybody talks about Foremans power and Wlads lack of, then he should have KO Ali as well. But he didn't. Guess Foremans power is overrated. Yet Foreman KOd Frazier twice. And your gonna go on about Ali's chin I'm sure. I wish someone would sit on the ropes and not move against the Klitschko's.

Can you imagine Frazier coming forward and "walking through" Wladimir's jabs and straight rights?? I sure as **** can't.

Frazier versus Wlad would be like two men fighting with weapons. One has an extremely long stick, the other has a very short hammer.

It's over the minute Frazier gets inside. A peak Frazier is simply too good not to.

And my statement wasn't about if Wlad KOs Frazier, which I have my own opinions of the outcomes of certain match ups. It was simply to say Frazier was available to get hit and brought a fight. Nobody had to chase him down to hit him, like Klitschko have to do.

Imagine Klitschko didn't chase these guys down against the ropes. It would lack even more action., the way his recent opponents have behaved

A long stick v.s hammer? How bout a guy with a telephone pole and a hammer for a right hand v.s a guy with a hammer who doesn't know how to back up ...which would intimately be his downfall. And IF he got inside without being dropped, he would get tied up or thrown away like the rest.

I remember Ali pointing that out in an old interview just before he fought Foreman. Frazier was a slow one dimensional fighter who was easy to hit and couldn't beat any big man who also had knock out power....

Marciano fought some of the greatest fighters to ever live, past their prime or not. Walcott, Charles, Moore, Louis are all HOF ATG fighters. The other staple of names Marciano beat were decent. But here in lies the difference. Marciano dominated his era as a small HW beating bigger fighters. Wlad is a bigger man beating lesser, smaller fighters.

Louis reigned in a terrific era. And Holmes deserves criticism, but he dealt with adversity and reigned a 48-0 run before losing to Spinks. Afterwards, he regrouped and beat Ray Mercer at 42 years old. A great achievement. Probably a more unique achievement than Wlad has ever done to distinguish himself. Do you think Corrie Sanders or Lamon Brewster would've ever beat Holmes?

There won't ever be a day that Wlad ranks anywhere near the fighters you just mentioned. Understand that reality.

Some old butt-hurt former American and British heavyweight champions running their mouths about the current number 1 heavyweight Wlad. Keep it classy as always Wlad and just keep on winning anyway you see fit. You`re about no. 12 now alltime and you own the present. Grandpa Foreman and Lewis own their rocking chairs.
